Watched both games very closely. Last year when Seattle didn't get to go I immediately felt they were going to be in the Super Bowl this year. They've been my team. I would be all over them. Then I watched the games. I don't know if you saw what I did but Wilson, who is supposed to be unflappable (and I love the guy and think he WILL be a great QB), was literally shaking out there. There were a surprising number of poor handoffs, hell at the goal line he put the ball on Lynch's shoulder pads, but mainly because he was not getting the ball cleanly from center. I watched his hands actually tremble out there and as cool as he may be under pressure, if a playoff game gets to his nerves like that, he ain't seen nothing yet. The Super Bowl has turned cooler qb's to mush. So give me the qb with the hall of fame career and all the experience and I think he'll have the cooler head of the 2 come crunch time. NO, they are not facing each other on the field and I give Seattle's D mad props but when it comes down to it I don't trust the ball in Wilson's hands this game. Give me a regular mid season game in Seattle and I'm all over Seattle, but seeing that from a qb is a sign I can't ignore. Maybe he just had a shaky game or I'm over-critical but I saw what I saw. The irony is if I hadn't watched these games so closely I would be all over Seattle. But I did so Denver large.

I've watched Wilson for 2 years now as a pro, and a couple of years in college, and I'm seeing a different player than you're seeing. He might make a mistake now and then, but overall, he's been damn good and very poised.

If I was facing San Frans' defense at the goal line, I might be shaky too....ask Cam Newton & Carolina. They experienced it the week before & they couldn't get in! Denver has nothing like S.Fran's defense! Yes, you are over-critical for one game. Wait til you see how shaky Manning is when he gets pressured & can't run like Kappy did for Frisco.

Former NFL players say there is no way to prepare for the pressure of this game except to have played in it and preferably won the Super Bowl.

That leaves one QB.

A young Tom Brady and a young Eli Manning both pulled off Super Bowl wins, and that's just recent history. Brady's Pats won as 14 pt. underdogs, and Eli beat the undefeated Patriots. Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson and Jeff Hostetler also have Super Bowl wins. And let's not forget a very young Joe Namath beating NFL MVP Earl Morrall. 22 players are on the field, not just one great QB.

If you ask me, Manning has a lot more pressure on him then Wilson Does. We have all seen what happens when Manning gets into the playoffs and feels the pressure.

I agree! That's the Wilson I expected to see. Had my money on him and my full belief. But come on, 1st play, tries outside boot and gets ball stripped, and downhill from there. I'm telling you there were snaps that went in and out and luckily for him back in his hands. He was a play or 2 from disaster due to one thing, nerves. Unless he was playing with a new center and I'm not aware of it. I LOVE WILSON. I want to be on Seattle or I'd have just shut up and played Denver. But I want to know if you guys saw it or I'm crazy? He wasn't playing in the SB where I think the pressure triples, and come on, just because it's SF and it's near the goal line is no excuse to put the ball on Lynch's shoulder pads. But there were a lot of near misses, Wilson could not handle the ball. I've never seen him like that. Truly I want someone to tell me he had the flu so I can ignore what I saw and change to the Hawks.

You watched the games, did Manning's hands shake? I have never seen that before.

Seattle just different away from home, and they'll have to show me that same intensity in NY that they show in Washington. Awesome D, but Awesome O for Denver. Let's see who makes fewer mistakes.Soumi:banger:

The advantage Denver has a QB is greater than the advantage Seattle has on defense.

Wilson was extremely, extremely fortunate that his backward scramble plays in the NFC Championship Game did not turn into disaster

OK, 1st post was me ranting. I have been on fire in playoffs last 3 years and last year called Seahawks this year. Did not like Wilson's performance as stated, but I have to go back to what's made me hot. Have to admit, after last game I put down a bet on Denver sure that public would lick Manning's jock and it was going up to 3 and I could buy out if I decided. It didn't so I have to eat some major juice and folks I'm going with my pick from playoffs last year, back on Hawks. I didn't like Wilson's nerves but I gotta trust in my capping. I was venting and hoping to get feedback telling me he had an off day, center had sprained finger, something. Heck with it. Gonna trust my gut. Seattle, who I wanted all along.
