Back in he 70s and 80s maybe even into the early 90s, we didn't bet basketball until AFTER the Super Bowl.

Not sure why. Maybe there were no lines?

But the locals didn't work the phones at night for BB action til after the SB.

A look back in sports betting history.

I'm sure you old timers remember no BB action.....

cd329-It may be 35 yrs that it changed. I know that when I started playing back in mid 70s, there was no BB action til after the SB. Don't know if there was no lines available or the locals were lazy. Who knows? Just a bit of a useless post as 2Dimes posted earlier.

I don't know why 2dimes thought he had to comment. If you don't like it just move on. I like to remember the "good ol' days" too Paul. Here's one for you. Score phones. Our local scorephone used to update every 15 minutes. We would get so pissed if the scores weren't updated.

Kegler-was telling my young cousin the other day about score phones. Also, going out the next morning to get the paper to look for scores listed in teeny weenie type.

Ahhh, the good old days. NOT.
