You would think it will end up playing some kind of part, but who knows. It is tough to watch any scene where it's referenced.

Imo it's like real life. Do you have to understand it? People have eczema.
I think it's just like a comedy spin to the show. I think it kind of completes his character. Some weird attorney with eczema who mostly defends prostitutes, drug addicts, and trannies. Kinda funny. Without John Turturro in the scene, I don't know if I have laughed.

I heard his role was suppose to go to James Gandolfini and when he passed away it was going to go to De Niro. He passed on it and Turturro got it. Turturro is a great actor. Ever seen Millers Crossing?

Yeah, could be just showing the quirky side of his character.

Here is one theory off the net FWIW

This notion finds that Stone is an overall symbol of America’s criminal justice system.
And while there are good intentions interspersed throughout, the foundation for which our laws and processes are based on is festered and cracking.

Turturro was great in Millers Crossing.

Great show.

Will not have a happy ending imo.

I think Freddy knows who killed the girl and is grooming Nas to change his reputation as a clean record college kid to someone who can easily commit crimes at will.

Sharp. But does he even have a choice? He would be dead without Freddy so he can't say no.

I thought the guy Turturro hired to take pictures was showing that someone broke in through where the cat was let out and you can see the kitchen from the stairs. Which means whoever murdered her, could see Nas asleep on the kitchen counter from the stairs.

Very true. I think that may be the point of the show. Don't think they care as much about who did it but displaying how the justice system works. How Nas is damned if he does damned if he don't in jail. Impossible spot.

I will have to watch again. I thought the photographer taking that pic on the stairs of the kitchen was to show that the killer couldn't see in the kitchen so it was a coincidence and wrong place wrong time thing.

I'm really surprised they aren't talking about this show more. It's the best thing on TV right now. I wonder if they are going to wrap it up at 8 episodes, the way they did True Detective. Or will they continue the same story for a another season?
