If I couldn't bet the NFL.....I would never watch it. The game is pretty awful. Flags, non stop interference calls, if the crowd reacts to a hard hit its 15 yards against the defense.

The game is mostly unwatchable

I agree. I enjoy college football much more than any of the other sports. College hoops needs to move 3 point line back

Agree. NFL is unwatchable for me. It's football, so I watch. I like to see how former college kids I followed are doing. And I rarely, rarely bet it. It's like Coach LT says, "The NFL is a 3-point league....and impossible to win long term." There's nothing like a heavyweight college football game, imo.

Yeah, there was a time years ago, where I was watching all day NFL Sundays.....now I hardly watch. I do keep track on my phone but I don't make a point to watch.....its not the same anymore.

I've had NFL ticket 17 str years & thinking about canceling DirecTV......those bastards keep raising prices every month for absolutely no reason......

No wonder the FTC is suing them in court, they screw people royally every month & I've been along for the ride for quite some time.

Thing is, should I join Dish network? No NFL ticket but they do have the red zone, but they're not any cheaper to risk the change, & forget cable, won't do it.

As for the NFL, I rather watch college football, but I love betting NFL......

I started this thread a couple years ago and everyone yelled at me. Fantasy and gambling (essentially the same) drive this league.

100 % true & hopefully lawmakers see that & legalize both fantasy & sports betting since they're the same thing) everywhere eventually.

And by the way MLB is just as much garbage as NFL and/or NBA, and probably worse when you consider their officials/umpires who don't even follow the rules, making up their own as they go along.

League is pathetic for doing zilch about it after all these years.

They may get it wrong often, but at least the other 2 league's officials HAVE to try & follow the rules vs the MLB who lets theirs remain rogue...

Love the big 4:30 games. They are usually good. Sunday night games are usually good. MNF has gotten bad. Too many PI flags....need to move that to a 10 or 15 yard penalty

I started a thread this like this at the beginning of last season, when it was particularly hard to watch because of all the new defensive holding calls

they are ruining the game, with one rule change after another taking away physicality and installing drama classes

and then evidently instructing refs to make more calls in critical spots, like 3rd downs and scores. I think the asshole commissioner actually believes the suspense of waiting to see if there's a late flag brings more commercial revenue to the league

3rd and 15.....Incomplete pass....You figure a punt......Nope,Defensive holding/Illegal Use of Hands....5 yard penalty......Automatic 1st down.....Now those are killers.

Those 5 yard defensive holding penalties/Illegal Use of Hands which carry a automatic 1st down have become worse then pass interference penalties.
