Nobody has gotten within 30 points of this team despite Tulsa opening up the season with two games on the road. Yet the most points that they've been favored by in any game is 21. I'm still not sure the lines have caught up with this team. But I can tell you that two years ago this same Tulsa team was also very undervalued and I cleaned up the first half of the season on them. All of the media had made ECU their BCS darlings from the CUSA before their loss last week to NCST. But I think it's this Tulsa team that has a better chance of going undefeated this season. Their toughest game will be on the road against Arkansas. But we've seen how good Arkansas is so far. This team has a real shot in my opinion. And I don't really hear anybody talking about them except local media outlets. I think Tulsa could be the real deal. Todd Graham is a hell of a coach. And despite the loss of a couple star players, he just plugs more good players into his system and makes it work.

Two other teams that could be a little undervalued or underrated is Alabama and Vandy. I admit that Vandy got lucky last week against Ole Miss with turnovers. But Vandy is an opportunistic team that has one goal in mind. Getting to a bowl game for the first time in 26 years. Something tells me they're going to make it this season. They've got some very winnable games left with Miss St., Duke and Kentucky. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if they beat Tennessee at home this year. I love this team as an underdog play because they are a good running team. And their on a roll. I could be dead wrong about this, but Bama could be really really good. They are big and physical on defense. And I like them for the same reasons I liked Cincy last season. They take advantage of every mistake an offense makes. This could go a long ways in the SEC this season. Plus I still think the SEC West Division is wide open despite LSU beating Auburn. This upcoming game with Georgia won't have the importance as their game with LSU. That's the one that could be for all of the marbles in their division. If Bama can somehow make it to the SEC title game with just one loss, they could find themselves playing for the national champiosnhip. If you guys can find any other teams that you feel still have some value feel free to chime in. I would like to hear them.

I coined Tulsa at -10 last Saturday. And next thing you know its 42-0 Golden Hurricane's. Great call GoSooners, Tulsa has been money for the first couple of weeks. David Johnson can throw the rock!!

I've had my eye on them from day one. Could honestly see them running the table. I think when they take care of Arkansas is when we will start to hear more about them. Gus Malzahn has really got his no huddle offense rolling. Johnson is protecting the ball and spreading it around with perfection. They are definitely fun to watch.

Air Force + CU + OU + Tulsa + Storming Mormons have been lifelines for me over the last month. Really like CU + the points on the road against FSU this weekend.

Another one kinda flyin under the radar is Marshall. Someone on this forum had them as their top play vs S. Miss, but I have a hard time pulling the trigger on them

I've said this on other threads, but watch Bama's O-Line. The team's success follows the O-Line's health (i.e. the end of last season). Not deep, but the left side is as good as anyone in the country. From what I saw from the LSU and AU offenses, if Alabama is healthy, they'll take the West.

The defense has been stout thus far to the credit of 2 players: DTs Terrance Cody and Josh Chapman. They plug up the line from tackle to tackle, and Saban has coached the DBs to be smart football players (like he does for every team he has ever coached). If I was coaching the UGA offense, I've GOT to try to pass when Cody is on the field, and run when he is off (hopefully not in long 3rd down situations). He literally is a quick Gilbert Brown. If you've never seen him, go to youtube now!

It will be an exciting game on Sat., but you can bet the game will be won on the line of scrimmage. Stafford will be, by far, the best QB the Tide sees all season. What I would give to watch practice in Tuscaloosa this week...

Add Georgia Tech to the list. A completely different team with Paul Johnson as coach. Paul Johnson teams come to think of it, have generally been pretty good against the spread.

Don't sleep on Tulane. 3-0 ATS...they DOMINATED Alabama statistically as a 29 pt. underdog. Alabama's special teams and punter single handily won the game for them. they roll SMU by 28+

Tulsa was a tough call early on, but rang true very early. I wasn't sure how losing Paul Smith would hurt them, not much I guess, and it looks like the defense is much better. Another team that is looking good (not to sound like a homer) is UNLV, I like em this week too, a lot!

Put Miami in there as well. Shannon has done a commendable job with the program They play in the ACC which is very weak and once the offense grows in line with just a nasty, fast defense should make some nice cash when all is said and done.

Two of the five starting OLinemen played that game for Bama. You're completely correct though. Tulane outplayed them at most positions and should be solid this weekend.

wake forrest. still getting no respect and riley skinner is a top 5 qb imo, look for them to beat the brakes off of navy after what the team considered a dissapointing showing against fsu. they dominated fsu on the road in every facet of the game except the score board, they are pissed with not beating them by 30 and will unload on navy this week.

I know one capper for sure who knew the value of taking Tulsa, as he had them for his largest bet of the year against NM.....GoGo. I saw maybe 2 or 3 other posters from several forums have Tulsa, which is quite remarkable considering the lopsided margins of victory thus far. I rode that Gravy train a couple of years ago with Tulsa, but it seemed to me that Kragthorpe's name came up alot when discussions were made concerning that team. Tulsa had more attention then than they do now and still destroyed lines all that year. I really wish you had not started this thread....too many people read your stuff......people south of the border...
