Russell is the dumbest QB on earth.

Not only did he cost them a FG at the end of the 1st half, but he also took a sack when they had the ball at midfield at the end of regulation...just sat there in the pocket. They could've won the game right there.

Regardless, no excuse for blowing a lead that big. Pathetic. I feel bad for all they've had to go through, but still...

Yes. That dumb ass was simply out coached in the second half. If LSU managed to get a first down in the second half, I missed it.

He should have stayed in Stillwater where he was a hero, getting bigger and bigger paychecks evey year for as long as he wanted them. Now he'll be drawing unemployment within 24 months. I can already hear Reese Davis in December of '06 announcing that Les Miles is out at LSU.

Booed for his conservative playing calling in his first home game. He's as good as fired.

For my OSU Cowboy's sake, I am hoping Mike Gundy was responsible for the success that Les took credit for. Gundy pretty much took a stab at Miles on his way out the door with something along the lines of Miles took control of the offensive play calling towards the end of last season when the Cowboys went 1-4 SU.

Miles crapped his drawers. His assistant coach had to stop him from calling a timeout after the interception with 17 seconds left.

Peleni's is the most overated coach, asst. coach or any other kind of coach ever. He made a complete shambles of OU's secondary last year that we still haven't recovered from. He'll no doubt leave his dubious mark on LSU and then move on to another school when the heat is on.

Any Oklahoma fan will attest to that. He's a fucking joke. It was no accident that Sam Keller torched the Tiger D for 450 yards.

I will enjoy watching Miles and Pelini fail at LSU.

As a Gator fan, I got a real strange Ron Zook vibe at the point in that game where LSU was collapsing. Strange, but I've seen that act before the last 3 years in Gainesville.

No way Miles will last three years at LSU. He might be out at the end of this season.

For crying out loud, the fans booed him in his first home game. Instead of trying to win the game with a FG and a buck thirty on the clock he opts for over time. It was this kind of conservative play calling that lead to O-State hanging SEVEN points on Ohio State in the Alamo Bowl.

I'd say any coach who willingly accepts a job at a place where they just won a national championship the year before can't be all that smart to begin with. If he wins a national championship it is because of the talent the last guy recruited. If he gets beat three times in a season it will be his last season there. Taking over shortly after a national championship is a brain dead thing to do unless you are totally out of options.

As I stated earlier, I am hoping that Les was taking credit for a job that was done by Gundy.

Miles took the job because there was HUGE dollars in it for him. Sure he could have stayed at Oklahoma St, and probably been succesful to a degree there. But he opted for the Big bucks, he sure looked rough in the last few seconds of that game for sure.

His play calling was sure conservative to say the very least. And then again he might not last long there in the LSU country if that happens again.
One thing is for certain here, the Tenn group NEVER quit and when the game started to turn around for them you could just see they were going to win. Shoot i thought they were going to win before the OT. had GREAT chance to win in regulation.

Can you believe that?

On National TV, the guy is begging for a timeout when none was needed.

He looked like a lost kid out there last nite

Did anyone else see him frantically trying to call a time out when landry intercepted a pass with 20 or so seconds left in the game. He did not realize the clock stopped after change of possesion! CLUELESS!

Ol Phil

May noy be the most dynamic guy in the world, but he sure seems to win more than his share of these kinds of games. I still ramember as will my bud Dan Tanna the Ark. gm a few yrs ago. He`s over 75% SU the L 5yrs. Not too bad in that conference.
