If that call would have been correctly made without the backtracking (unlike anything I have ever seen in the history of football) Detroits odds of winning that game in that situation would have been over 95%.

Therefore Detroit was not givin what was rightfully theirs which was 1st 10 in field goal range with less then 3 mins.

There is no reason to think that they should have to overcome a situation that should have never even been a situation to begin with.

There was 8 minutes left in the game. And it's one play. It was a bad call, but you have to overcome it. And they had many chances before and after that one play.
