#2 THE HUNTED (8/1) should get a good stalking trip, and I know this Cal-bred will relish the return to 8-furlongs after finding 9-panels a bridge too far last time. In fact, I’ve always thought he wanted no part of any distance beyond a mile, so he’ll have every chance today to improve on his solid 4-for-8 record at today’s distance. The question is the same one I asked of Ronald R (Ire): is this guy graded-stakes caliber? GRADE: B.
