i think you are joking but it is hard for me to get a laugh out of how many kids have died in iraq when they were sometimes weeks away from getting out.

I feel what your saying and although while that is tragic we do have an all volunteer army, so its not like they had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Also, I think if these kids were properly educated they wouldnt join this military anyway, as its nothing more then a mercenary outfit. But, i hope your brother gets out, being property of the government is never a good thing.

sure. i actually adopted my brother from my parents when he was 16 because if i didn't he would have ended up in prison.

it was a miracle my wife and i got him through high school and into the army. his options were bleak and the army actually gave him a chance to make something of himself.

and he did know what he was getting into and he did not threaten to go awol or any of that nonsense but have 2 months left on your contract and getting another tour sucks whether it is by the book or not.

anyway regardless of why these guys are in the armed forces they are and even if they are fighting a misguided war they are fighting it for those of us who are not.

This war just like almost any other war that has and will be fought is fought purely for profit and gain, on a monetary level. So, in reality, they are not fighting anything for me. As far as the contract goes, i can totally see the injustice in that. However, when the government owns you and they make the rules.... you get what they feel is right. Its a fraud.

Agreed. Although its nothing to do with "liberal". Its mass media agenda owned by corporations keeping us dumb. Read tragedy and hope. Great book. Right vs left, liberal and conservative is right out of the divide and conquer playbook, make no mistake about it.

Look at the media. Take Black against white for example... They brew up these Jena 6's, Duke Lacrose, texas dragging incident, and they promote these stories every few months that have polarized reactions. People spend time fighting and argueing... angry... angry people are easier to control. angry people don't act as rational.

Germany goes from being the #1 country in the world, to basically a human shithole where you need a freaking wheelbarrow full of money to go buy a loaf of bread. The German currency was like the currency of Zimbabwaue today.
