They are shameless right now..did anyone see the "JOE SIX PACK" skit on CNN this morning? They actually went and found the drunkest Republicans they could tailgating at one of the footall games yesterday (think it was the Giants) and made them look like fools. They were obviously bafoons to begin with and probably dont even know what Republican means.

They then panned over to a couple people sitting quitetly in their chairs and said something like those are Democrats over there, behaving themselves.

The final word was that Joe Six Pack are "DUMMIES that drink", referring to the Rebublican vote that Palin was talking about.

They have no fucking shame..this is their last gasp..

If they lost this one the entire democratic party is screwed so they are pulling out all the stops to try to demoralize the right.

and to address the point of the thread i don't disagree. i think that the media is liberal for the most part which means the republicans have to be smarter and work harder than ever before.

It's been documented that the RNC under Karl Rove's direction sought to challenge and disqualify the votes of black soldiers shipped overseas in the 2004 election. Why would they do that if they were (according to you) so likely to vote Republican?

The few military people I know who have logged time in Iraq have all rotated back stateside in past nine months and they're all pro-Obama.

But in most cases it's less about foreign policy per se than it is their interest in seeing more federal attention being given to urgent domestic needs within the USA.

The military men and women I know are far more interested in seeing our tax dollars going to build schools, hospitals and roadways within the USA than overseas in a foreign country.

i know that my brother and his buddies are all obama guys but are not at all educated on the issues. they just think it is a waste of time, money and lives to still be over there with no plan.

my brother has actually been stop lossed as well which was a dirty game that was played but it was successful in getting him to re-up with the army. since he graduated high school all he has known is iraq.

I know 3 people in the military. my 2 nephews in the navy and 1 with the army. 2 of them did tours in and off the coast of the Iraq. I know I don't have a huge sample size but all 3 of them say the same two things. "Our objective is bullshit out there." and "I'm voting Obama" to if it helps to get my buddies home"
