If I have the team with the lead, it's usually 99.9%

I think it's about 50% because you can sacrifice him to second, then have 2 chances for a hit which is about 1 - (1-.300)^2, or 51% which is about 50%

its actually 51% but like we all know, if we have it its atleast 75%

Journeyman is that number correct for sure? Where did you get it from if you don't mind me asking.

Also is it pretty much the same in the AL and NL? I'm not big on interactives right now but picking up what I can. I'll have the gun loaded next year.....

That number (51%) is correct .... Over many years , for one listening to James Alvin Palmer here in Maryland do the Orioles games on TV...Palmer has mentioned this probably 100 times so its drilled into my head

...And one time I did look it up actually, and sure enough it was 51%, but that stands for all leadoff batters reaching, to start an inning...
