I agree with the good Senator. What bothers me about the article is elevating Barack Obama to a "star" in the Dem party. Why is he a star? What has he done to be elevated to a star position in my party?

"I see a Democratic Party afraid to say they're Democrats, who voted for the war in Iraq and voted for tax cuts for the wealthy," said Glenn Anderson of Orlando. "Why should I remain a Democrat?"

It was a tough question. But Nelson and Obama tried to answer it.

"The Democrats at times have lost their way," conceded Obama. "We are trying to decide what our core values are."
This is the context of the quote from Obama, not sure why you would take it out of context.:icon_conf

The core values of the Democrat Party have been decided by homosexuals, tort attorneys, Hollywood and teachers unions.

Those values are:
Homosexual Marriage
Hollywood morals and ethics
A law suit on every table
Great pay and benefits for teachers and school administrators - even if your kid can't read.
Hug a terrorist - be understanding of his need to kill you.
Be more French in the way you think and act.
Hate Bush and all Republicans and all religious conservatives - they're wrong, wrong, wrong!

How unfortunate for you that you can't tell the difference in how the dems have been framed and what they actually stand for. But that's your problem.

More credit is given to him than he deserves for his landslide victory over Alan Keyes, possibly the worst choice of a candidate ever put forward by any political party. What has any politician done that they should be considered "stars"? I can't stand anyone treating politicians as if they are worthy of respect, they are simply the people who are elected out of small fields of candidates that had both the means and inclination to run for office.

Jinn - that's exactly what I see - those are the true core values as defined by the makers and shakers in the Democrat Party -

John (Reporting for Duty) Kerry
Teddy (the lady killer) Kennedy
Nancy (San Francisco) Pilosi
Blow Job Bill and Hillary "stand by your man" Clinton
Reid
Dodd
Waxman
Michael Moore
Dan Rather
Air America Frankman
NOW
Homosexual Union
ACLU

Is that enough?

Name me one person or group from that list that supports traditional American values and the Constitution.

Re: Osama Obamma (as Teddy K calls him)

Listen to the guy - he actually talks sense!

Although the Obamma talks sense, many of us figure that he's a democrat, so he might talking for values while voting against them - much like many of the Dems and black leaders do (Jesse, Rangel, Sharpton).

I personally like what he says, and if he's the real thing, then he should be elevated - because he shares those values that many of us cherish! What a breatyh of fresh air that would be - a democrat leader with values and with honor.

Bblight with another "indepth"posting:

"Homosexual Marriage" .... that would define the Bushies better than anyone as there has never been an administration with homosexuals (Scottty McClellan, Jeff Gannon, Mary Cheney, etc)

Bush appointed four openly homosexual, gay-rights advocates to his presidential campaign steering committee. According to the homosexual group, Log Cabin Republicans, "scores" of Bush state steering committee members and campaign volunteers were homosexuals

On Dec. 21, 2001, President Bush signed a historic bill, which "for the first time allows the District of Columbia government to fund a program that will give domestic partners of city employees access to health benefits." Remember, Bush insisted that openly homosexual Congressman Jim Kolbe of Arizona be given a prominent speaking role at the Republican National Convention. It was Kolbe who introduced the amendment lifting the ban on gay partner benefits in D.C.

Bush named Scot Evertz, a prominent homosexual activist, to head the White House AIDS office even though he had absolutely no experience dealing with public health issues.

Bush appointed another homosexual activist, Donald Cappoccia, to the U.S. Commission on Fine Arts.

Bush appointed openly homosexual, Michael Guest, as Ambassador to Romania. Since then, Bush has decided to leave in place a Clinton policy that calls for supporting the "unmarried partners" of U.S. Foreign Service workers. This allows Guest's live-in lover to live in the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest and allows him to join Guest at official embassy functions.

Bush presided over the appointment of homosexual activist, Stephen Herbits, to oversee the choice of civilian personnel at the Pentagon.

Bush has not reversed a single pro-homosexual policy instituted by former president Bill Clinton. Not even one!

The Bush administration posted a job for what is called a "gay and lesbian program specialist" at the Department of Agriculture.

Bush appointed the ardently pro-homosexual Governor of Massachussetts, Paul Cellucci, as U.S. Ambassador to Canada.

Bush appointed Lewis Eisenberg to become the new GOP chief fundraiser. Eisenberg has a long history of supporting pro-homosexual and pro-abortion candidates.

Concerned Women for America is so concerned that it recently released a statement saying, "President George Bush is just another Bill Clinton on the homosexual-rights issue."

The ACLU is one of the best protectors of Constitutional civil liberties now and ever. They even support privacy rights of hypocritical drug-addicted right-wing fascists.

D2 - you're wrong!

20 or 30 years ago the ACLU may have been as you describe, but all that it has become is another arm of the left wing hate machine!

The modern ACLU is no different than the old KKK. The sooner you see that their agenda is a pro-hollywood, pro-homosexual, anti-Christianity, anti-traditional values agenda, the sooner you'll recognize them for the hate mongers that they truely are - they wear black robes instead of white sheets - and that is the ONLY differnece.
