I'm outraged and disgusted. The Prescription should be ashamed.

I've been reading about the extortionist attacks on some of the Sportsbooks by scumbag hackers and criminals. They seem to attack the biggest books with the best reputations thinking they'll cower and submit to this extortion. Good for the books that didn't submit and are taking it in the butt in losses because they have INTEGRITY. And shame on the books that laid down and paid because it just promotes further attacks by the same people or copycats.

So what is the watchdog of all these books doing? Not a stinking thing! We all know
a man by the name of Shrink owns this site and lives in and is registered in the U.S. However, neither he nor anyone who works for him has had the guts to stand up for the books - the people who keep him in business - and write any articles about it and offers solutions.

Why?! Because he's afraid of getting hit himself by these scum.

Let's try this together. His business is registered in the U.S. He's a U.S. citizen. Let's all spell it out together: F.B.I !!!!!

This site should have the courage and integrity to be a stand up company and challenge these monkey heads to TRY TO TAKE DOWN THE RX. THEN THE F.B.I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO JAIL THEIR HACKERS ASSES.

So what's it going to be Shrink? Are you on the side of the hackers taking money from your clients and not provide any help or are you what you claim to be - THE TRUE WATCH DOG OF THE INDUSTRY WHO ISN'T AFRAID TO TAKE ANYONE ON.

I don't think I'm the only one that wants to know!

I see lots of support for the books on the forums.

You sound like sour grapes to me.

I am no computer wiz but I believe Ttinco pretty much said there's not a lot that can be done about the attacks.

Joe,

I think we are doing more than you know.

1st- we are letting people openly discuss this topic.

2nd- I have helped Hollywood with several ip searches and traces.

There is not much more we can do.
We are trying our best to help the books that get attacked and there is more going on behind the scenes than you know.

If we knew how to fix it we would.

The truth is there isn't much one can do about a dos attack unless you find the bastards doing it.

header is definitely a bullshit overstatement.

agree it is newsworthy enough to merit articles but don't think Rx should / could be offerring solutions.

Wouldn't you prefer to have the rx up so that the books are able to communicate with the customers on here?

Besides if we were down how would you know who is getting hacked?

Jersey-
1) Shrink has already posted that he thinks paying is only asking for more trouble.

2) Shrink got hit by the storm, so he's catching up with a lot of stuff.

3) It wouldn't help the hackers to attack RX because it's a double-edged sword. The hackers get information about who is scared and the books and players get information too.

4) You don't know what Shrink may be doing behind the scenes.

Jersey Joe:

Everybody is entitled to an opinion and so are you; but for the record Hollywood International would like to thank the fine moderators' team in the RX. These guys are a good group and they have been very supportive throughout all this mess.

They have done everything they have been able to do to help.

Mod Squad:

I won't use especific names, but thank you very much for having been there for us. Your help and support is greatly appreciated.

And thanks a whole bunch to all the posters and players that have kept on calling to let us know they're standing behind us. Again, no names, for I'm afraid I could forget somebody. But you guys ROCK.

Thank you all

Will

Jersey Joe,

I don't necessarily agree with your style, but you do raise some very interesting points that I will address.

I am quite sure that these hackers KNOW about this site by reading some of their "extortion" letters that referred to "posting forums" in them.

Several prominent sports books shared emails with me on and off this forum and they have looked to me for advice on whether or not they should pay these bastards the 30k ransom money...

My position is very straight forward. I believe that the more "attention" we give these criminals, the better it is for them.

I also believe that one of the main reasons this site hasn't been targeted YET is because we are actually providing free advertising for these extortionists.

Stop and think about this people:

The more that sports books and posters give ATTENTION to these bastards, the more FEAR we are creating in SOME people's minds, even though that's the last thing we WANT to do.

I personally have been working VERY HARD BEHIND the scenes and OFF of the forum with several sports books to figure out the "BEST" way to protect others from being victimized like Hollywood, Rio, and a number of others have been.

Instead of trying to go after hackers, which is useless anyway, the books should spend more on their IT security. The books are all alone here, what protection would they possibly enjoy ? Of governements of Costa Rica, Antigua, Curacao ?
FBI ? Give me a break !

jersey joe or is it jersey JERK?

The Rx is doing EXACTLY what they should be doing when something like this happens.
This is a Sports and Gambling FORUM.

This is NOT a TECH service for Sportsbook Websites.

All sportsbooks websites will have to take technical measures to prevent future DOS attacks.

There are ways to minimize and to completly eliminate DOS attacks through software and hardware changes...and many websites will be making these changes in the weeks and months ahead.
