The Little 12 champ is making Ohio State look like, well, USC on offense. They are bigger faster, better, and I don't think a non-rape charged Ell Roberson would have made a bit of a difference, because he doesn't play defense.

WC Bias

You are correct, Kansas State does look very average to start this games but you should thank them.

If Kansas St. didn't beat Oklahoma, USC would be at home wishing they had a chance for the title, and crying that they didn't get to play for it again.

Aloha WC, no not USC. But more like the National Champs of last year that beat Miami. People forgot to remember that that team of last year was a young team and still has a good part of them back. Not to mention, the Coach, QB, WR, and most of the Def. Screw the regular season or the stats, they dont tell the whole story to this team with talent and this coach who knows how to get the most out of his players. Something that Fulmer(Tenn) and Brown(Texas) will never learn. This team beats you with not only their power, but their brains(coach Tressal). Nuff said.

as someone who is on the dog here - and have liked them since the line/matchup was posted - nothing is wrong here with the way it is being played out.

k-state won their "bowl game" when they beat oklahoma - and with what happened with roberson only hurt them even more.

Winkyduck, good point. Adding to that, that win over Number 1 Oklahoma may have made them also overconfident. Especially their coach.

That win also made Oklahoma wake up and Coach Stoops very upset. That is not a good thing for this Def genius. Look out LSU!

Will Okies defense still be as stout? Didn't their DC leave for his new HC job at Arizona? Which one of these 2 brothers was the master mind of the D? Just Luv LSU +6.5.

Broken, Bob Stoops strenght is Def. He is a Defense mind who got to be a HC of Oklahoma. I am sure he is the mastermind behind the schemes of the Def for Oklahoma, which his brother ran and executed. That is what a Coordinator does. We shouldnt forget how many coaches get their starts as head coaches. They come from someone elses successful system or team, but are also credited for that success. They dont just become a head coach. You are part of a system and execute that system with the players you have. When you succeed at doing that you will be recognized for that success. But remember, only those who has been head coaches , or have been hired from another team, to run a defense or offense for that matter are those that can lay claim to the Def or Off being what it is. I am sure Bob Stoops has his hands exactly on his strenght and that is Def. Just like how USC Pete Carrol is a Defensive mind, his Off is run by Norm Chow whose can be credited for the Offensive success of USC. Stoops brother cant lay claim like Norm Chow can for being the guy to turn things around. What he can lay claim to is executing Bob's plan to perfection. And it is through this execution and experience and results of Oklahoma as a whole, which gives him the creditials to be a good cadidate for a HC job. But him being gone, wont change the scheme or plan , because it is not his. Only thing to change is now Bob is probably needs to take over the Def alittle more for this game, now that his brother is gone.

Furthermore, I not sure is his brother wont be their for this game. Depending on his contract, which I am not familiar with. He may still be under contract with Oklahoma till the last game or he might not be able to since he accepted the Arizona job. But this is for the National Championship , and I have a feeling , his brother if not on the sidelines running things for the Def. He will surely be behind the scenes somehow. I think he would want to see this team through to the end.

Kansas (NR) Loss 56-26 vs. NC State
Missouri (NR)Loss 27-14 vs. Arkansas
Texas Tech (NR) Win 38-14 vs. Navy
Oklahoma State (22) Loss 28-31 vs. Ole Miss
Nebraska (21) Won 17-3 vs. Michigan State
Kansas State (10) Loss 35-28 vs. Ohio State
Texas (6) Loss 28-21 vs. Washington State

2-5 collectively, nice showing.

Of course the Big 12 will have at least three teams in the top 10 to start next year. And Oklahoma....Well, I think they are a damn good football team and I also think they will win tomorrow, but I know that there is not another team in the country, certainly not in the Big 10 or Pac 10, that could lose their last game of the year by four touchdowns, not win their conference, and still get the opportunity to play for the national title. And to think it happened just two years after another Big 12 team lost their last game by four touchdowns and got rewarded with the National Championship game.

Strength of schedule is what got Oklahoma here, but the fact is the Big 12 is the most overrated conference in the BCS.

The biggest loser is LSU, because if they win they didn't get the opportunity to play the No. 1 team in the nation, and if they lose...

Linebreaker...

USC didn't get to play for the national championship, they got to play for a split national championship....They played the no. 4 team in the country, and they should have been playing the no. 2 team in the country, LSU.
