though I hate players that try to show off or taunt the other team, I absolutely loved the crap Merton Hanks would do on INT's he returned to the endzone....

that neck was just awesome...

Thurman Thomas also just handed the ball back to the ref. Marv Levy would have never put up with the shit these guys pull today.

Who cares what these guys do in the end zone? Then again I didn't think that much of Manny's trot after hitting the dinger against the A's but everyone else had a fit. Class is overrated. Have it off the field, be good in the community, but what you do for a few seconds after the score is not a definer of anything. After all these people ranting about stuff forget that sports is entertainment and personally I got a big laugh out of the phone and the TO signing the ball. I used to love the Duck Down, bunch of players looking silly. And White Shoes Johnson was great. The Tony Gonzalez revival of the slam dunk of the 70s is cool too. People ought to have a little fun with it, the score doesn't change nor does the attitude unless you are so damn sensitive that you react to it.

I thought the machine gun routine is the all-time funniest, I can't believe they got fined for that. What a joke, don't entertain the people that paid $40 and up for their tickets, just be as boring as Paul Tagliabue. Horses*#!

Another good one similiar to the machine gun mentioned by WildBill is the "hand grenade" I think the Ravens did it a few years ago, throwing the ball as if a grenade then falling down as it lands.

MOST CONSISTENTLY GOOD: "Primetime" Deion Sanders aka Neon Deion or Merton Hanks (Slim I think it was called the duck walk or something like that)
MOST ORIGINAL(1a): T. Owens and the "Sharpie"
MOST ORIGINAL(1b): T. Owens and the "Pom Pom"

IMHO the league needs Marvin Harrison types and Terrel Owens types. I appreciate the class of handing the ball to the ref but I also enjoy the HELL out of a good endzone celebration.

My favorite all time celebration is when the player scoring the touchdown flips the ball to the official and acts like he's been there before. Clowns like Joe Horn and Terrell Owens are perfect examples of what's wrong with sports today.

The only thing that gets their attention is if you take away their money and/or their time. Yes, the officials can call an unsportsmanlike conduct but the only thing that makes these idiots realize that what they have done shows no class is to fine and suspend them.

I really liked Owens Sharpie TD. I Feel If its a important score ..than by all means...But If your some like TJ Ducket...And celebrating when your down 31-6 , I think that makes himself look like an idiot to us fans and his peers...I just Hope this rubs off down the line ...What would you do if your kid pulled out a sharpie after scoring...would you fine him/her?

If the kid is making millions ENTERTAINING people I applaud him. The fines are a joke, yet another gem from the No Fun League.

The only classless celebration I can remember was what TO did in Dallas on the star, but he got what he deserved when he got hammered trying to do it for a second time. That is classless, going out and acting rude to your hosts in their house. Doing a dance or show is just pure entertainment, take it for what it is worth. Once again these guys are entertainers, not college professors.

for the record barry sanders that isnt a celebration if i see one more person say celeberate and sanders in the same sentance i will ban you from reading or watching anything sport related. then you put the gay bannana looking thing like YEA! IM a MORON! shut up. barry would be insulted if he saw that. thats the whole point of HANDING THE BALL OVER. classiest guy but not the best celebration.
