If I'm wrong then our buddy 5TeamParlay will have to find this thread at the end of the 2009-2010 Season to bump!

But I just don't believe LeBron James will win his 2nd NBA MVP in a row this year, and the Shaq's addition to the team will make it even less likely.

Now.......2nd in line would obviously be Kobe.

But......With LA being so balanced, it could be tough for Bryant to win it as well.

So......The value obviously lies elsewhere.

Dwight Howard & Chris Paul stand out, but both teams have something to prove before that can happen.

Orlando has to prove that last year's trip to the NBA finals wasn't a fluke, and the combination of Shaq joining LeBron, Garnett possibly coming back healthy to Boston, and a shakeup in the Magic's roster could make that tough.

There's so much competition in the Western Conference right now, and while Paul & New Orleans had a pretty good season in 2009-2010, they still disappointed a little from 2008-2009. Things could be even tougher for them this season, which will of course, could hurt Chris Paul's chances of an MVP.

I believe Kevin Durant will be more than deserving this year, but don't see the NBA handing it to him yet at such a young age when there are other veterans they want recognized.

Is this the year the NBA rewards Dwyane Wade for being one of the league's best?

The door could be open for a "surprise" winner this year as NBA MVP.

Would love to hear some of your thoughts & opinons on who may win this award this season & what you feel our best value may be for this exciting NBA season about to begin!

JAZZSPORTS & 5DIMES both offer some great offs on NBA MVP below.

If LeBron James wins the MFP, the dominating reason might be that this is LeBron James contract year. The man is motivated$$$$$$.

so we know that the winner of the mvp is correlated with teams that have the best record or at least at the top spot in their conference... For that reason alone I have to like the two favs in Lebron and Kobe... overall I would have to lean Lebron because he will probably average slightly better numbers but as far as who wins more games la or cleveland thats tough for me.. I'm really liking how Boston is looking coming into the season with KG coming back, signing Sheed.. That incredibly thin front court that we saw in 08 playoffs is now looking stacked.. Marquis Daniels too was an under the radar signing that I think will be a very nice addition off the bench... I know i'm getting off subject... you could probably assume that i'm very excited for roundball to be back! <><>

i think thers only about 5-6 names to pick from at this point

Lebron
Dwight
Kobe
Wade
Paul

Now wade/paul's teams are not contenders for the championship although u dont know anythin for certain. so to me that leaves cavs/lakers/orlando cos boston just has to many vital stars to judge any of them a single mvp.

n out of the three i think orlando will finish the highest, therefore my vote is dwight.

I'm leaning laying something on both Howard & D-Wade.

As for Lebron, I'm just thinkning that Shaq may take juuuuuuust enough attention away from James, and that if the Cavs impress more than they did last year, that the voters obviously have to take a look at Shaq coming in and making that difference where you can't give Lebron ALL of Cleveland's credit this time around......

If Howard has the same season as last year it will be him. The only reason Lebron got it over him is b/c he didn't have one yet. The same reason Kobe got it over Lebron the previous year.
