Calhoun was low key & casual to be sure. With no disrespect, the "Win one for the Gipper speeches rarely take place anymore. The purpose, preparation, strategy, etc have been well detailed all week. The Relaxation Approach is more important at this point, than jacking the kids up. They are already nervous enough with all that is at stake. Most kids don't listen all that well in these situations anyway.
Knowing that, Calhoun should never have let the cameras in there. The general public, no doubt, would have expected a "fire & brimstone" delivery.

I also THINK CALHOUN looks like a "REAL PUSSY", by keeping Okafor out of the game for the whole half. I mean, you are making your team feel like, he is ll they have. I mean bring the guy back in at 8 minute mark. Now Duke is gooing to come out an intimidate the shit out of UCONN. Calhoun....how did he win this thing.....squirrel gets a nut
If Okafor gets his 3rd in the first half....game over! I'm on UCONN and I didn't have a problem with him sitting. My problem is with these refs calling so many fouls. This is the first time in a long time I have watched a whole basketball game, and it's also a reminder why... There are so many judgement calls that it's not even fun to watch half of the time.

Keepimh Okafor at 2 fouls and only down 7 @ half looks very intelligent to this observer. I wonder what the alums, fans, & bettore would be saying had Okafor picked up his third foul (like Sheldon Williams) following your advice. By the way, I have Duke FYI.

I really can appreciate your passion & emotion. Coaching is ironically very similar to wagering. High pct decisions and clear thinking usually prevail over biases and feelings. Okafor's third foul could have easily been his fourth and the Huskies would not see him on the floor until the 8 minute mark. But he can now return much earlier.
