He caught it, had both feet touch the ground, then was hit and fumbled when it hit the ground.

Horrendous call, and if you dont agree you are a fucking tool. Look at the replay and his feet.

No question the Steelers got totally fucked out of that call!! Cost them 4 points and to add to the madness there was a HUGE Late HIT on the next play. Wouldn't be suprised that play will come back to haunt the Steelers!

1. Holmes caught the ball, had three steps down on the ground and one hand. How is that not a catch? The BS rule they always cite is that he was in contact with the defender so he must keep total control all the way to the ground. But what if Holmes takes 25 steps with the defender in contact with him and then goes to the ground and he loses it? Would that not be a catch?

2. He broke the plane of the goal line with the ball. Doesn't that end the play as a touchdown? A running back would be considered in at the point he crossed the line, so why is it different for a WR running with the ball?

Agree. I always thought once the ball crosses the goal line, the play is over.

So .. ball crosses the goal line, touchdown, play over, ball comes out after he hits the ground.

So what's the f'in debate ? How was that not a TD ?

Anyone know the exact rulebook def with the ball crossing the goal line.
