With Iowa soundly beating Wisconsin 30-7 - Michigan (a 37-21 loser to Ohio St) will get the Rose Bowl berth. Iowa and Michagan will share the Big 10 conference title but Michigan defeated Iowa 30-17 on September 25th in the Big House to earn the trip to Pasadena. Iowa will play in a major bowl most likely the Capitol One Bowl.

Iowa QB Tate is the most exciting college qb since the days of Doug Flutie.

This kid is something special.

Henne is the most exciting QB in the Big 10 hands down Fishy and he's only a Freshman (and it PAINS me to say that knowing he's from here and wanted to be a Nittany Lion).

Michigan @ Iowa next season is going to be one heck of a game!!

Henne vs. Tate as experienced signal callers.

Both will possibly be in the top 5 favorites for the Heisman in the pre-season........as a sophomore and junior respectively.

Henne's arm + Tate's legs = Perfect QB? Gotta be close. I just hope Morelli can live up to his potential and make us forget about Henne. :banger:

From the FWIW Department

This is only third time the loser of the Michigan-Ohio State game has gone to the Rose Bowl. Michigan did it in 1982 and Ohio State in 1996.

I had UNDER 20 first half Iowa /WISC ....For those that didn't see it...There were 7 points scored with just under 2:00 left til half...Wisconsin scores with about 1:45 on the clock, still figure I'm okay...WRONG, 3rd and 1 from midfield 1:00 left and Tate (Flutie) scrambles out of a sure sack and in one motion spins and fires for the endzone for a TD , great play and I lose the under...:nono5:

Mich and OSU put plenty in the NFL, both also have national titles in the last seven years(which I would've thought help possibly close some of the gap in their slower northern foot-speed via wider recruiting..but maybe not?), as to watch those two teams play today, was to watch a game that seemed to be in slow motion(especially the trench players foot-speed in contrast to SEC teams play), as only their skill players like Ginn and Edwards ooze of "southern speed", but both teams can be quite physical upfront, with OSU clearly "taking" the game to Mich after the early 1st qtr, sure wish I would've been near a computer after halftime kicked, as the "hunger" and "Big Mo" were all one-sided..as the in-gamers probably nailed OSU pretty good?

Sorry my friend Kodiak, but the Wolverines may get nailed in their greekhole again out west New Year's Day depending on the foe..if Chad Henne's OL keeps playing like Sonia Henie, it will equal another one in the heinie!

Cal should knock the stuffing out of Michigan. They isn't much doubt in my mind on a neutral field Cal is the best team in the land and I have thought that since day one of this season. I still shake my head thinking of how they didn't beat SC with Rodgers completing 85% of his passes and Arrington getting over 100 yards on the ground.

Michigan won't be as lucky, Cal will be fired up for the first trip to Pasadena since the 50s and if they can force the Wolverines to pass it will be over quickly. Michigan's only hope is to get a lot of yards on the ground and keep it close that way because I don't think they can stop Cal's offense.

Ironically enough..... There are so many similarities between Tate and Leak. Go figure. Those two are going to both be two of the top QBs over the next two seasons.

If Tennessee should happen to get lucky and defeat AUBURN in the SEC title game............AUBURN would face IOWA in the CITRIS BOWL on NEW YEARS DAY.

Bowl season. I like that time of year better than any other for sports. I always find myself rooting on underdogs to win. Congrats to the Mich fans. And along with comes the Holidays. The time of the year when we feel the need for family and the love we have for them. Peace.
