For years Fassel has gotten off the hook when he should have been canned .How many rookie mistakes can a coach make and get away with year in and year out.So he went to the superbowl so did Oakland last year.Where will Fassel end up next year ? You know what? I like Jim Fassel...I remember the way the way this fool came out and took it on the chin for his team a couple years back making that guarantee. There are not too many guys like that out there. He did everything he could with the guys but the fact is...This team is loaded with talented loosers. He had to put up Jesses mouth, teammates criticising each other in the media, Tiki Barbers incesant need to fumble the ball at the most crucial moments, and Kerry Collins inadequacy. Obviously he must bear the responsibility for the teams failure because the fish always starts to smell at the head...but these guys quit on him and he didnt deserve that after the way he stood up for them and took them to the dance 3 years ago. I hope to god he bounces back in a different situation...I just dont think he is the moron that Jim Hasslet...& Dave Wandstedt obviously are.
he is a moron like wandstedt and hasslet.I respect your opionion and agree on the inadequacy of collins who absolutly sucks in my mind and barber who I do like but its obvious theres a serious problem there.Yes Jim did do alot of guarnteeing but there were way to many mistakes in the offensive playcalling as well as the relaxed defense watching a lead diminsh. There offense has been so predictable over the past few years,lets get a lead and then run sideways so we can punt and then we can be scored on.How many times have you seen this happen.Should i remind you of arizona last year when ther was a few seconds to the half and collins drops back to pass interception touchdown halftime or home vs. Tenn up by 11 lets go for the 2 point conversion its only the third qurter wht the hell not like where losing im sorry you cant make these mistakes.Fassel has real good integrity I respect him for tht but when it comes to being a head coach hes dumb as a stump.
BredanJack - I know what you mean. If Fassel wouldn't have screwed up the kick in the SF game last year.... Also, damn him for Shockey getting hurt! Damn him for all of Tiki Barber's fumbles! I respect your opinion, however I think it's worng. Fassel had so many things go wrong this year that was out of his control.
By the way, all teams, when they get the lead run the ball and rely on their defense. I don't agree with it either but it happens. The Jets did it yesterday!
