Virginia Tech -12.5 West Virginia

Some will argue that West Virginia are "giant killers", and this is also a home game. Virginia Tech has also not played any quality opposition. But WVA has only beated E Carolina and Rutgers, and has not scored more than 20 points this year except against those two teams. They are facing a much stronger V Tech defense and will be lucky to score period. WVA did play Miami tough, but I think that has more to do with Miami's tendency to play down to the level of their opposition this year. V Tech has played a weak schedule, but has outscored every opponent by more than 20 except one (Texas A&M by 16) Only problem is that Virginia Tech may be looking ahead to next week's matchup vs. Miami. However, raw talent alone should get them through this one quite easily. This line is already at 13 at most places and will be over 14 by game time, at least at some square books.

If I had to pick a side it would likely be Virginia Tech but I believe the solid play is under. WVU should be prepared to play solid special teams to avoid the V Tech punt blocks that they have become famous for. They should run the ball better than most V Tech opponnets also which will chew some clock and keep the V Tech offense on the sideline more than usual. With V Tech's propensity to run the ball as well we should see some time consuming drives on their end. WVU played some spirited defense on the road in Miami so let's hope for an encore at home tonight.

Penn St +10.5

Penn ST coming off a much needed week off. Iowa has to be dissappointed after last week. Iowa's coach did a great job of getting his team up after the first loss(still was in the hunt for the Big Ten), I think it is going to be very difficult to get them up again. Robinson if he starts will give Iowa trouble, they haven't really faced a guy this athletic at QB, and he should only be getting better with experience. We will see, Iowa is the better team but I like the timing of this. Could be wrong but worth a bet to me.GL 24-14 IOWA

I am on Penn State as well, good spot here.

My favorite this week is Bowling Green. Other leans are Ole Miss, T. Tech (although it looks like a public play), Auburn (ditto), Temple, Michigan, New Mexico, Alabama.

Anyone have a strong differing opinion on these games that I should take into consideration?

CAREFUL ON TECH, I BELIEVE THE DEFENSE WILL HAVE A HANDFUL TODAY WITH MIZZOU QB. OKL ST. HAD THREE OR FOUR RUNS OF 50+ LAST WEEK AGAINST TTECH. NEW D COORDINATER DOESNT EXPECT D TO PROGRESS MUCH THIS SEASON, MAYBE NEXT YEAR.
