Texas vs Philadelphia on 05/03 by Jay_Robinson

I’m going to keep fading the Philadelphia Phillies (11-12, minus-3.06 betting units) until they show some life – or until there’s a matchup where their opponents have even less value. Yes, the Texas Rangers (8-14, minus-5.60 units) are even deeper in the red than Philly, but their minus-6 run differential suggests a team much closer to .500 than it may appear at first blush.

This pitching matchup favors Texas, too. Jon Gray will take the mound opposite the delightfully named Ranger Suarez, and while Gray has had some knee issues, Suarez (4.51 FIP) is experiencing regression to the mean after posting a 2.72 FIP last year.
