the coaches poll is obligated to vote the winner of the BCS championship the #1 team and OU already is #1 in the computer polls and will gain even more ground by beating #2, so the only way it could be split the way I understand it is if pretty much everyone in the other human poll votes Texas number 1 and OU further down.....I haven't crunched the numbers, but it seems pretty unlikely to happen even if OU wins ugly and Texas pounds Ohio State. I know you said no debate, but just sayin....

o i know exactly what will happen if this did happen and life isnt fair but it should be a split title, especially since they would both have 1 loss and texas had a last second road loss, and beat ou on a neutral field.

i agree they will both have one loss and yes texas beat oklahoma, but the big 12 tie breaker is over. the final polls should reflect who is the best team in the country, period. to me that means looking at the entire body of work and not being hung up on something that happened what will be 3 months ago when the final polls are released. OU is playing arguably the best team in the country in what is essentially a home game at Florida. Texas is playing essentially a home game against an Ohio State team that I think most people on this board agree shouldn't even be there in the first place.

I think Florida still comes out #1 in the polls....

I think Texas' only chance would've been if they played Bama and demolished them with Florida squeaking by Oklahoma....

winner of the NC game I think gets the outright title this year.

I don't think a split title is happening. People in general don't think highly of Ohio St this year. Maybe if they played USC and killed them, but Ohio St won't be a big enough opponent for them to get the AP votes. They would have needed OU to barely win and for them to crush their opponent, but they needed to play someone ranked very high. USC, maybe Alabama, were their only hopes.

yep....its OU or Florida, no split happening. i'm sure if OU wins, there will still be some texas fans saying that they should be splitting the national championship simply because they beat OU head to head and OU beat Florida, therefor it should have been them in the NC and they too would have beat Florida. LOL

Personally i think texas has no chance to beat Florida. I think Oklahoma has a better chance, but I'm still worried.

Florida beats OU, no split, let's not get into an argument about why I'm right. Just accept it.

i think florida is going to win anyways and i do think oklahoma would beat texas if they played them tomorrow, but the point is texas DID beat oklahoma.
