They need A&M up there in case Bama loses. Then they can justify keeping them in the top 4 since Bama blew them out.

I agree A&M should be the top one loss team but not ahead of Washington

A&M is not the best 1 loss team IMO....I think Louisville is a better 1 loss team then they are.

Louisville played Clemson tough on the road.....Could have won that game.

A&M sucks to be honest with you.

Wash's remaining sched is strong including the champ game... they'll be in playoff if win out. Don't think big10 teams are that good.

Y is the committee that has only one purpose...to pick 4 teams to be in the playoff, giving out a list which includes teams that have no possible chance to make the final 4....y r they dicussing FSU's ranking. That's not their job..every week the list should get shorter until 4 r left.

The Committee is telling Washington that scheduling Rutgers, Idaho, and Portland State as your entire non-conference schedule doesn't cut it. Personally, I'd have put Washington at #4 anyway, but they didn't ask my opinion.

A&M was beating Baam in the 3rd quarter....they are far from the suck.

Granted UDub has not played a really really hard schedule but they completely throttled a moderate Stanford team and whooped Oregon in Autzen. They are clearly a very good team worthy of the 4th spot. If they run the Pac12 they should get a playoff spot.

Baam will get a top 4 spot no matter what happens the rest of the season.

LVille's shine is starting to lose its luster. Their poor play vs UVa and Duke exposed some weakness.

the final 4 should be
Bama
Clemson
UDub
Mich/OhioSt winner

Bama could lose a game and still make it unless LSU wins out and then LSU would certainly get the nod by winning the SEC (I think my math is right).
It would take a miracle for any Big12 team to make the final 4. They have had some great teams in past years but notsomuch this year.

I see the committee's intention... You get rewarded for your past performance, and you future will too. Isn't that should be the case, as for this year. They know there more football to be play and a chance to get in (Huskies). Had they put Wash at #4, that's same as shutting the door on the rest of 1 loss teams.
What fun/motivation is that with 4-5 games left.

I heard Fox's Joel Klatt talk on this subject regarding the Washington snub on the radio this morning. He mentioned that the committee is probably just trying to create some chatter and controversy. Also, there's the fact that the two west coast guys on the committee are Oregon's AD & Tyrone Willingham. We all know there's no loves loss between the Ducks and Huskies, while Willingham was fired by Udub so maybe he's still holding a bit of a grudge?

I feel that Big Ten guy shouldnt play that card anymore. 4 top ten teams split amongst the division. That's the perfect leapfrog scenario for the winners of those upcoming matchups. One of those top ten teams started the season unranked and is ahead of several Big 12 1 loss teams. Another top ten team is the first 2 loss team, ahead of an SEC team. PSU , also unranked Sep 1st, is #12. They are the 3rd best 2 loss team (per poll), again, just ahead of another SEC team. Big Ten getting it's share and more.
