BetVegasVic is offering a season total on the San Jose Sharks. The number 116.5 and the juice for the over is -110. They have tallied 108 and 107 points for the last two years.

This year the Sharks are on pace for 135 points. A regression of some sort from their torrid first half start should be anticipated but how bad could they play to not reach 117 points?

They have 45 games remaining this year and would need 56 points to reach 117. A record of 25-13-6 would give them 56 points, or 1.2 points per game. Considering this team’s propensity for getting points in every game they play, (only 4 regulation loses so far), I have to believe this is a very reachable number. I think BetVegasVic dropped the ball with this one.

The Sharks play the following teams at home, (where they currently have a record of 18-0-2):
New York Islanders
Tampa Bay
Carolina
Atlanta
Los Angeles (twice)

If they win these games they would only need to play .500 against everyone else, (19-13-6), to reach the goal of 117 points.

Considering that the Sharks could lose 19 games of their final 45 and still reach 117 points I am convinced this wager is +EV and the only negative is you tie up your funds for 4 months.

I just checked and BVV just upped their number to 117.5 after I took their offer a few minutes ago. There is still tons of value in this bet.

I really like this shop, tons of options, low prices, similar to 5 dimes.

I just put the last $61 in my account there on this prop, I do have a bunch of pending futures there however, including habs at 16/1 as well as cardinals and vikings, both at 40/1.

One which I have written off is penguinos under 98.5 points.

I think he is referring to the fact that BetVegasVic does have some generally low limits.

who knows, maybe different customers have different limits.

Ive been suprised once or twice when $250 was the max I could put on a 2nd half of a NCAAF game.

All that being said, Id rather a book takes the steps to make sure they remain viable and responsible rather than taking any bets at all, and then going under with my deposit.

In a nutshell, Its responsible on their part and a PLUS (imo) rather than a negative.
