historicaly only 2 teams of 78 that started a season 0-3 made it to the playoffs....
this is a must win for tennessee or they might watch postseason at TV.
WC ~ I totally agree. It's the perfect spot. It's hard to envision TEN going 0~3. Plus, public perception is sky high on NYJ and realtively low on TEN. Granted, anything can (and usually does) happen on NFL Sundays....but this certainly feels like the right side and I will be posting this play as well. BOL with this and all your action Cat!
Hard to tell, could go either way. Line moved back and forth as well.
Tennessee’s 13 wins were the most in the NFL last season. History shows an 0-3 start practically guarantees a seat on the couch come playoff time. In the past 15 years, only two of 78 teams that started 0-3 made the playoffs – the 1995 Detroit Lions and the 1998 Buffalo Bills – and they each lost in the first round.
But still hate to go against a hot team like Jets. Will stay away from this game.
Imo this could be one of the best plays so far this season.
Very interseting is the injuries of 2 Jets cbs.
Donald Strickland CB Ques Sun - Ankle - 09/20/09 notesStrickland was carted off the field during the third quarter against the Patriots with an ankle injury. He is questionable to play Sunday against the Titans.
Lito Sheppard CB Ques Sun - Quadricep - 09/20/09 notesSheppard left last game against the Patriots in the first half with a quad injury. He did not practice Wednesday and is questionable to play Sunday against the Titans.
If one or both miss the game it should limit the jets abilitly to blitz.
I have watched both of Tennesses games and I think they have played good in both. Just havnt won them. @ Pitt is a difficult place to win. Losing to Houston was not good but Houston made the big plays.
I doubt the Jets will make the same big plays with a rookie QB and Tennesee knnows how to stop the run.
I wonder if the Titans still have a great defense.. If so, hard to take a rookie qb against them. If you feel they are a has been defense (minus Haynesworth, etc), got to go with the hot team.. I won't make a play here, can't decide on the Titan D.
Call me old school from the Kelso Sturgeon lll of handycapping,
But who bets agenst a team that is surging, good offense , good defense, at home and has not had to tavel in two weeks. Good coach vs 0-2 team who lost their best player.
I like Tenn its is a great spot for a well coached team. That is the main reason I love the points here is because Jeff Fisher is known as one of the best coaches in the NFL and there is no way he is going to allow his team to go 0-3. They are working harder then they ever have to win this game and if they do not cover it will mean the Jets are special this year. Frankly, I dont see that.
