Been looking for a quality Friday play so started looking at this game. Ponies have been extremely competitive in first half of most games even being good offensively. Temple has a methodical offense that sleepwalks through most first half . Like to get some conversation here on thoughts on Temple being emotionally spent from Notre Dame, playing short week game, halfway across the country if Ponies are a great first half bet at least and maybe game. Figuring bet Ponies first half then hammer Temple in second half since Temple is second half team and Ponies almost always fall apart. Look forward to hearing thoughts.

Removing all my betting discipline and just speaking on athletics, sometimes teams like temple in this sitaution want nothing more than to get back on the field.

Temple team and coach have never been in this position of losing undefeated season let alone midweek game across country.

I will tell you this about Temple. They got banged up pretty good from the Notre Dame game. They have six starters who may not play Friday night. The starting center has already been ruled out. Their best running back has a bad rib injury and may not play. Starting wide receiver and defensive end are very questionable.

I'm seeing Thomas questionable for the game, but that's it. Where you getting this intel? I see no reason Temple shouldn't roll the ponies given what I'm reading.

I went to Temple and live in PA.

Leading the injury list was center Kyle Friend, who Rhule says is definitely out for SMU and could be gone a while longer. Rhule did not elaborate on the nature of the injuries, but he listed a number of other banged-up bodies. Among the other injured starters he mentioned were defensive end Nate D. Smith, wide receiver Ventell Bryant, running back Jahad Thomas, cornerback Tavon Young, and offensive tackle Dion Dawkins.

Like SMU , they are due for a cover. Very competitive at home 14 point is too much. Temple win but no cover left everything on field last wek

If Temple did not go for two, they would have had a 12 point lead. I would assume the thinking behind it was a SMU touchdown and onside kick recovery could lead to a field goal and win by SMU. It is a bit of a stretch, especially with under three minutes to go.
