It seems that 90 percent of teams continue to foul when they are down double digits with anywhere from a minute to even 30 seconds to go??????????????????????????

because it's in their nature to compete til the buzzer - no matter the score . . . or because the fix is in.

It's no wonder overs are golden in the 2nd half.

That's why every single college basketball 2nd half total is about 8-10 points greater than the first half total and why the first half total is about 45% of the game total.

Way too many people think a game is on pace if the halftime score is 50% of the game total. That thinking is wrong.

coaches use it for practice for later in the year when they might be down by a more realistic number. there are all sorts of benefits by doing this, even if the game is probably out of reach. it helps a team learn who to foul, where and when to foul, and also how to get up shots to score quickly. much easier to do all of this if you've practiced it in real game situations. hell, i had ncgreensboro 2nd half yesterday and they started fouling down 3 with 1:05 to go and I lost my cover +9.5

Willie99 youre 100 percent right because theyre retards, and their coaches are bigger retards.

These kids unfortunately arent taught to think and therefore foul down 9

No professional player in their right mind would foul down nine under 30 sec

MyBoyMagic and Headquarters are correct. No the players and coaches are not retarded and they don't give a bag of shit about the line. Only us degenerate gamblers worry about that. The kids are just trying to win. And yes, it seems worthless to do so, BUT every once in a great while a team makes a miraculous comeback and it ends up on ESPN. Don't hate on kids for competing and trying to win.

Oh, Pros do it too, see Reggie Miller!
