a 2-point dog at Creighton. This is a very average Blue Jay team who rely mainly on one player and that is Nate Funk. On the other hand No. Iowa had high expectations going into this season based upon their backcourt returning, etc.

They started out great but then slumped. They have beaten Evansville and So. Illinois in succession but I realize those were home games. Their road record is somewhat spotty and they lost to the Blue Jays by 1 point at No. Iowa.

Their guards are good plus they have Stout in the middle who is averaging over 11 points per game and 7.7 rebounds. Also one of their forward is averaging about 6.5 rebounds a game.

If they are going to meet this years expectations now is the time for them to make a move. I thing the wrong team is favored here. What do you think?

I don't think so. Creighton has been great at home, although they have had a few slip ups against teams that were playing great basketball. I think Creighton covers this, and I sure wouldn't take No. Iowa. The Valley is full of evenly matched teams that beat each other up. I think these two teams are very evenly matched. But if you like No. Iowa, don't let me discourage you from betting them. I don't think the wrong team is favored though.

Illini...

I see your point about the Blue Jays home court but I think No. Iowa is the better team here and will come into this game very confident off their big win vs. So. Illinois.

Rule of thumb in the RX.....

follow Illini in the Valley. (the E'ville game was as bad a beat as i have seen this year, though...you had it capped correctly. Can't cap the "lay down" factor)

homecourt in this conference is EVERYTHING.

They certainly have that potential. They have played great at times. But they have laid a few too many eggs on the road for me to bet them, and have been up and down all year. Good luck to you.

Northern Iowa - 11-0 ATS playing with same-season revenge
Creighton - 0-6 ATS at home after making 13+ three-pointers

NIU stat is meaningful. The Creighton stat might as well say "0-6 ATS when they get up at 8am, vs sleeping in past 8:30." Irrelevant.

Racer, thanks for the kind words. I don't think I've met you before, have I?

Agreed. I thought about skipping that one. However, the Bluejays do play poorly on Wenesdays after leap year.

No, Illini, never met before....just a LONG time lurker in these parts.

Like your style as you only post plays few and far between. It's hard to follow (and make $) night in and night out following guys who are playing 5 or 6 games. There is info in everyones posts, you just have to weed through the junk to get at it. I'm sure you are aware, but certain guys just are in the "know" about certain areas of the country...if you weed through the picks that are out of their "area of expertise", you can be profitable. IMHO.

Line is right or maybe a few to low. Creighton losing at home to SMS is why the 2 instead of 4.5. They came back from a 15 point deficit to SMS who is playing the best ball in the conference right now, cut it to three, but fell short. Creighton needs a W bad, so does N Iowa. NI has struggled however on the road in conference. N. Iowa seems to be a bit of a public team for some reason. I don't like either side.

I agree with you, Racer. I don't even try to bet 90% of the games on the board. I just bet the Big Ten, MVC, and an occasional game with the bigger teams. Or if someone I respect gives their opinion about a game in their area, I take that into consideration. Racer...does that make you a Murray St alum?
