Home Team in Conference Semi Finals: 38/20 last 15 years - 13/5 Last 5 years.

This year 0/4

Team with a better straight up record in Semi Finals - 35/15 last 14 years

This year 0/4

13/3 vs 12/4 or less regular season record in Semi Finals - 20/8.

This year 0/2.

The only bets that I won were on the overs {STL-lucky} and Ind.

Anyway - does anyone have any comments re the above. Why are the dogs covering? Is there a change in the value of the Wild Cards, that didn't exist previouly? or?

Zip....you are going back maybe too far in your tech trends. Free Agency has put a big dent in tech trends over the last 8 years. Look at the teams who aquire free-agents in skill positions on offense. The QB, RB, and WR are what I'm talking about. You also have to look hard at Special Teams these days.

Tech Trends should be used as a tool with the X's and O's of how the game is played today. You should never make a play in todays game based on strickly "Tech Trends". The information needs to be weighed against the objective and subjective information that is available.

I know a guy who just uses "system plays" now insted of "tech trends" because he has burned too many times on tech trends. He is also a big beleiver in handicapper Marc Lawrence and Big Al. I tell him to learn the game better and understand how the game is played by each team's "style". Do they run or pass?

If you understand what each team is trying to do you'll find overlays in the line and then start to question "your trends" that have high percentage wins. Again, a "trend or system" should be used as a tool and never be used as a gauge to solie make a decision to bet a pro football team. Not into todays game.

Gathering all the "trends and systems" is a start on your homework, but not the complete answer. This forum has a lot of good cappers who share analagies and information that you need. Keep pressing towards the mark....and good luck!

Play UNDERDOGS in the finals if you need to bet.

Underdogs in the finals have been hot since 1998! I don't have the stat, but I am sure big lou(d) will have it for the cult.
