Tebow has to stay in college because he would be a 3rd-string QB at best in the NFL. He is way too slow to be Running Back. Can you imagine Ray Lewis hitting Tebow? He would literally turn Tebow's other cheek. Maybe a NFL team could hire him as team preacher. As far as the Florida offense it is Percy Harvin that is the real star. Look at the numbers with Harvin and without Harvin over the last few years. Another thing I'm tired of is coaches in ANY sport talking about one of their players and using a big cliche "he's even a better person" . Nobody really cares. You could be the nicest person in the world, but if you suck at football then you suck. Tebow would be just another guy hanging out at an orphanage without any football talent. I live in SEC country and I know several people from different SEC schools who hate Florida. In fact, they tolerate everybody in the SEC except Florida. However, I know what you are saying. There are also some fantaics down here who root for the SEC Conference more than their own team which is ridiculous. It boggles the mind.

It's because those from the likes of Auburn, Tennessee, and Mississippi State : can say sure we were terrible but it's because we were in the "toughest" conference; therefore we really weren't as bad as we really thought we were because Florida beat OU and Alabama beat Utah. Every time a new thread opens up about Tebow it becomes the Floridians against the world. Then religion gets injected into the conversation and it just opens up the whole topic into a potential maelstrom. It is clear that a lot of people outside of Florida see Tebow differently than Floridians do.
I am OK with that. But when they try to defend him they are the ones who take it to a hate level when they start running down other players and teams. What is frustrating is that we are all communiating as if we are going to sit down ten years from now with one side telling the other side "we told you so." Meanwhile, college football will have to endure one more year of Tebow in college. I do not know how next year will turn out but I truly hope he does not get injured. At best, without a playoff, all we are going to do is crown another mythical champion and go through all of this bullshit again. With one exception. Utah played and uninspired Bama team who didn't want to be there. Utah jumped on them early with a 21 point lead and then Bama outscored them 17-10 the rest of the game to get a 14 point win.
