Tebow to Skip Senior Season...

<HR>Tebow Skips Senior Season, Ascends Directly Into Heaven

MIAMI (SP) -- Shortly after leading the Florida Gators to a national
championship with a 24-14 win over Oklahoma, junior quarterback Tim
Tebow announced that he would skip his senior season and ascend
directly into heaven.

Tebow entered the press room to wild applause. A reporter for a 24-
hour cable sports network burst into tears when the 2007 Heisman
winner entered the room. Another threw a pair of boxer shorts on the
podium. Tebow smiled at the gesture and several sports reporters
fainted.

"Sorry I'm late," Tebow began. "There was a six-year-old boy with
cancer in row 54 and I had to make my way through the crowd to heal
him."

"I want to start by saying that playing quarterback for the University
of Florida, winning two national championships, has been a great
honor. There has been some speculation about my future and I want to
clear that up right now," he continued.

"Don't go, Tim!" a reporter shouted from the back of the room.

"After much consideration, I have decided to skip my senior season at
the University of Florida and ascend directly into Heaven," Tebow
announced. Upon making the announcement, Tebow was bathed in a
blinding white light and vanished.

In response to the news, ESPN announced they will have a month-long
tribute to Tebow. ESPN2 will now be known as ESPN-TEBOW and will
feature Tebow highlights (including home videos of Tebow's childhood),
re-airings of past interviews, Tebow-centric analysis by ESPN air
personalities, a Tebow quiz show and a reality show to find the "most
Tebow-like" person in America.

"He wasn't just the greatest player in college football history," said
a college football writer at the press conference, tears streaming
down his face. "He might have been the greatest person to ever walk on
earth."

Where do you get your info?? Percy isnt 30 on any reputable draft board. And Berry is good, but what did that ever win you? Absolutely nothing. Hope you're ready for yet another ass kicking in G-ville this year...

well the 09 draft was from this very site

yes i know Florida beat TN last year! and the year before! thats not the point

about 1.5 yrs ago there was a rather heated debate with me and a few of you Gator guys comparing NFL value of Havin and Berry.

This reminds me, i should pull up the thread where the Duke guys were saying JJ Reddick would be a top 3 pick and a NBA Allstar too...think hes been in the league long enough to admit hes a bench/role player ? just like i said, and just like Harvin will be - he wont be a probowler - just a return guy and maybe 600 yrds receiving in a year....

that dont take away from the fact that he was a star at Florida and Florida was a great team the past 2 yrs. its totally a different subject than what they did on the field in college - can you understand that ?

Sure... I think Berry will be a great pro but so will Harvin and I assure you Harvin will be a top 20-25 pick hands down.

Don't forget, you also thought Erik Ainge and Woodson from Kentucky would also be first rounders. I remember that debate as well. So I can't logicially digest any of your nfl draft projections nor can I agree what you think they will do once they get there. Can you understand that?

cfb is not the nfl.....and that's a good...no great thing. tebow, along with vince young, two fantastic cfb qb's of recent vintage. the hardest thing to defend in football is a player with a ball who can run effectively and throw effectively (young not as good here, but good enough). i can still visualize bobby bowden after the florida game, still in awe, describing him as a bronco nagurski who can throw. i'm a bettor, so i'll likely have to fade him often this year, but geeze, what a fantastic qb. i'm an atheist, so the religous stuff doesn't carry a lot of weight here, but he seems like a smart and good kid. would you guys like it better if he stole stereos out of other peoples dorm rooms? do you think he's not a kid of at least slightly above academic intelligence? if you're a parent, wouldn't you have to be proud to have raised such a good kid (nobody's perfect, as he isn't)? plenty of kids with similar upbringings are derelicts, loons, etc. i'm sure he's done bad things, but as a percentage, probably not a lot within the realm of the modern (coddled) athlete.

Good luck if you decide to bet Kentucky this week. I think you might need it, but who knows?

Its great that Mel thinks Woodson is worthy of the number eight pick, but Mel must have never seen the guy play. Woodson has average arm strength and can't move. Please find a video of Woodson doing one thing that makes you say "Wow!" and share it with the rest of us. Kiper had guys like Cade McNown pretty high on his board too. Cade didn't last more than three years in the league. Anyone that picks Woodson in the first round will be very disappointed...but of course that is my opinion. We shall see...and we shall also see whether Kentucky can win another game. I suppose you are on them big -4 at Vanderbilt this Saturday?

I will also ask the following questions one more time: Do you ever make a wager based on rankings? Do you think Hawaii would win over every team ranked below them? I think you should probably just take the ratings for what they are---a subjective vehicle to sell newspapers and advertise college football games on television. They have very little to do with whether a higher ranked team would beat a lower ranked team.

you are absoultely right. when an NFL GM makes his draft picks he checks to see how many "wow videos" he has.

your boy troy smith had plenty of "wow videos" how did he do in the draft?

i never said woodson will be an nfl star, but he will be drafted high - higher than ainge and ainge will go late 1st to mid 2nd.

navy had lost a billion in a row to notre dame before last weekend, i assume you lost big on notre dame since past history is such a great indicator of this season

Woodsen 6th round
Ainge 5th round

While Ainge was the top selection from the SEC, there were 8 qb's selected ahead of him.

Guess the circle jerk fansite steered him wrong once again. That koolaid must be damn tasty. Yeehaw!

Fansites:
A place (volnation, volchat, SECrules.com etc) where a bunch of like minded fans spew their biased thoughts. This has an influence on other fans who do not think critically and buy into these posts as gospel.

Said fans then go onto other websites (Therx) and repeat these thoughts then get called out for their idiocy. They then go and cry to mommy.

ps.
You just got exposed calling a guy a liar son.

Man up. Apologize

Your pennance:
please justify how in the hell you actually thought both Woodsen and Ainge could have been 1st round draft picks. This I would love to see. If you respond at all to this please justify that alone.

Chris,
I must have touched a nerve with you. As I said I would stop when the laughter ends...

I apologize. Please don't report me anymore to mommy. I'll stop making you look foolish in front of your friends.

Nope. There's no need to be baffled. So for your sake, I will explain it to you. After all, knowledge is power.

Circle-jerk: (N) An expression that describes an event that typically occurs on a Vol message board where there is a lot of ass patting going on and a lot more who are there just to enjoy watching everyone participate. It relates to a group of gay men standing in a circle jerking themselves and each other off. I could be wrong about this part, but I think they are spontaneous events.

I thought I'd chime in just to help you with yet another of your numerous misconceptions. All of us have been as naive as you are at one time or another in our lives. So don't worry, it has nothing to do with being a gay dude in Tennessee, other than in a metaphorical sense. So there's no need to take offense.

It's an expression that accurately describes what happens on both Vol boards and in gay bath houses. Personally, because I am not gay (nor is Ducks,) I've never seen one but I've heard the expression used. The manner in which Ducks used the expressioin is accurate, so there's no need for alarm.
