Big teaser today and only Fla. ST. left needing to win straight up. Cover my butt and bet Virginia the other side and hope for a push or middle~win of both bets, or let it ride? Thanks guys.........

Hache for me I have a play on Florida St. In my opinion, they are no longer an automatic like they were a since Ward and Weinke, still, they still are a way more talented team then Virginia. I don't feel Virginia can beat them outright, though its possible. Because of this and in your situation since the bet is in already, I just usually stick with what I had, because their is more guarantee on the side of Florida St. covering , then Virginia keeping this close or to win outright. If the teams came down to where they were even, and the other team there existed a high probability that they could definately win outright , then I look to bang the bets or get insurance somehow. But here, you have a higher percentage of Florida St. covering so I would leave it alone.

Plus it would depend on how big the teaser is as far as teams . Say it is a 4 team teaser +/-6pts. If you went sweat and squeeze ass to win the other three and there is just one game left, let it ride. You already accomplished the hard part and that winning a game , but you just won three, let it ride is what I say, but that is just me. If I going to squeeze ass, then no way am I going to give up on the last play ,especially if I got the better team. If the last game I made a mistake and locked in the shittier team then its not worth it to me to have squeezed ass , only to lose it cause my last team is wrong. Anyway every one going have a different strategy. You got to chose cause your money. But GL to you .Aloha
p.s. bottom line is we all gambling , eventhough some want to say otherwise. I say if you up today and padding already SHOOT EM!

Thanks co~captain, I'm was leaning heavily toward letting it ride, just wasnt sure about Virginia, and I believe Fl State is coming in with a few injuries on the line, etc.. It would be nice to bet Virginia's side, and win both bets, but as you say, the odds are in my favor of completing this teaser.

If you can get a ML on Virginia, toss a token wager on it for a goof. Kind of like "insuring" your blackjack : A bad bet in itself but you're guaranteed a profit. Nick

PS - I'd take UVA +8 anyway. FSU is a quirky team .

I agree Nick, problem is, I'm using a local bookie for these, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't deal moneylines. I could do it online I suppose, but the past month I've only used a local bookie, which is completely new to me, but I've won much more and collected much more this past month with him than I have been online, and would like to continue the pattern I've been using.

Hache - Sometimes a local will have ML's on low spreads (2-4 points maybe). You'd proably have to go online to find one for a -8 game. If I had to guess, an 8 pt. dog would probably be about +280 - +300 . As far as using your local - what ever works, stick with it ! I hope you hit. FSU is my alma mater and I follow them closely. Funny team to bet on or against. Nick
