Well, I wouldn't say impressed...more like expected? Although I feel like they take off sometimes, slacking on defense not getting back in transition especially when they build a comfortable DD lead, but that's minor I guess...

I am not a Coach K fan. However, must give him AND USA Basketball their due...this is probably as good a team as they could put together. Coach K has them playing together and playing d. Team seems to have adapted to the international game as well as could be expected.

Don't know if its a case of the rest of the world being a little off right now, but whatever the reason, Team USA, is clearly the class of the tourney. It would be a HUGE upset for them not to win gold.

i'm guessing team usa plays lithuania or argentina for the gold medal. i'm hoping its argentina. team usa lost to them in the semis at the 2004 olympics. if that happens, i am backing up the truck on that game...team usa wins by a million...

in the olympics everyone compares it to the dream team

this team is playing very close to that level so far. anything other than gold elimates that though

-no competitive game after half
-much better competition
-playing together
-playing D

You see what happens when it means something and this truly means something to these guys. it is great to watch and i love it.

the dream team is the reason the game is global. PERIOD.

i agree. teams/countries fell in love with those guys, those teams, and the game of basketball.

20 years ago, kids weren't playing bball overseas like they do now.

it would be like if the USA took Soccer, Tennis, Hockey, etc...as serious as the guys overseas do now. We'd only get better and more competitive within time.

beating the worlds best teams by 40+ points is over. while the USA could win convincingly by 20+, but beating teams in the finals and expecting to win like the dream team did is just not going to happen.
