Go take a look at TCU's defensive stats. They regularly hold opponents to single digits. Only once this season did their opponent even reach the 20s, and that was Oklahoma (tied for the Sooners' season low).

I'm not playing a total because I don't see any great case either direction, but if I had to play one I'd go with the Under.

TCU played a bunch of shit offenses so their defensive stats are inflated. Though I do lean towards the under because Boise St. has a top 10 defense and TCU offense sucks.

The Horned Frogs have maybe the best defense in the nation, I don't care who they've played. Go take a look at what they held opponents to -- both in points and yardage -- vs. what those opponents' season averages are. That includes both BYU and Oklahoma, neither of which could be called a shit offense.

If anything is inflated in the TCU stats it's likely their offense. They haven't faced many opponents with a good defense, but Boise has been up and down in that department as well.

Holding Oklahoma in Norman to 35 points is impressive as hell.

This TCU defense is for real, and they're going to give Kellen Moore pressure he's never seen in his life. I love TCU -3 and would lean to the under. This has a 20-13 game written all over it.

Have we thought about how much TCU could score on Boise St?

They can rack up some points too. Pretty balanced team here.
Boise St. I thought their D was pretty good, but after a good offense like Nevada can bang on em. Not sure about the O/U

The Under 46 is one of the best bowl plays out there IMO.

I normally like the under, only diff is that Ace has the over on
his stat sheet with Farha.

They held the Nevada offense in check in the first half then they went crazy in the 2nd half. TCU doesn't have close to the Nevada offense though and Boise St. has the #3 defense in the nation behind TCU at #2.

I absolutely LOVE the over, as well as TCU -3. TCU -3 will be the larger play, but with TCU's defensive leader becoming academically ineligible as of today, the total only went up a half point. Makes no sense to me. I personally think he's worth more than that in many different ways (1st team All-WAC, 2nd leading tackler, defensive leader and play caller I think). This over is definitely worth a hard look. I see a 35-21 type of game. TCU's good for 28 at least.

"TCU (10-2) brings in the best run defense in the country (48 yards allowed per game) and the No. 2 total and scoring defense behind Southern California. Defensive end Jerry Hughes, a second-team All-American, leads a stellar line.

The Broncos play good defense, too, allowing 12 point per game, but it's their offense that usually draws headlines." ESPN

i wonder what happens if a strong offense meets strong defense... over or under?
