Bye bye Baylor. I doubt that Florida State will drop out of the Top 4 if they defeat Georgia Tech, nor will Baylor be able to get past Ohio State if they defeat Wisconsin.

Do you think that Baylor will get the messsage? TCU defeated a Power 5 bowl bound team. Baylor did not. Baylor's win against TCU means nothing because the Big 12 is not a good conference. Certainly not compared to the Pac 12 and SEC. This proves that you had better schedule at least one good Power 5 team or if there is a way to keep you out of the playoff, the committee will find it. Even a Florida State loss cannot help Baylor now.

Welp, I hope your right. But if Baylor beats KSU handily, none of us know for sure yet how far they will move up Baylor.

Big12 is top 2 conference
http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/104327/power-rankings-big-12-not-sec-is-no-1

so saying it's not a good conference is not really accurate. and certainly better than the Big10......

and yes....expand to 8 teams and make OOC SOS one of the key factors to getting in. This creates more marquee games in the first few weeks in the season. more marquee games = more money for networks, schools and the ncaa.

i guess if osu wins against a very mediocre wisky team (again, who has wisky beaten that's really good? no one. minnesota is their ONLY good win and that was at home. they also have a TERRRRRRRIBLE loss to Nwstern) i guess that's enough to get them ahead of Baylor, even if Baylor bets KState and TCU??

Bama is in. TCU is in. Zona can give Oregon a test so that spot isnt 100%. FSU will give themselves a test against GTech and pull out a 4 point win again.....

I presume OSU will get in if they win and one of the top 4 loses....they have a terrible loss to VTech and play in a weak conference but I guess the win at MSU is good enough to keep them ahead of Baylor. Baylor's OOC schedule is embarrassing. And Bama will be happy cuz they'll get a super easy semfinal win over the Buckeyes....

should be a fun final weekend

If you know anything about college football it's pretty apparent from an eye test that tcu completely outclasses Baylor--herbsreit agrees as well.

Except for that one time when baylor hung 61 on them coming back from a 20point defecit to beat them.... Just playing devils advocate... Either way I think offensively they are equal...defensively, slight edge to tcu... But baylor did beat them, and f they beat a good, ranked ksu team that has to count for something.... Either way go ducks

Don't forget the 750 yards they put on TCU's defense too. But it does appear Baylor might have peaked a little early. I guess we'll know for sure after this weekend..

Only difference this makes is Alabama as the No. 1 seed would play FSU the No. 4.

In which case, as long as the line is somewhat reasonable, I'd be looking to unload on Bama.

TCU v Oregon would be another interesting matchup. What would that total be...80?

I`m happy to to see TCU make the top 4...Well deserved.

I actually think that this committee is spot on with the top 4 in general.

Not argument with those 4 at all.

1. Alabama.
2. Oregon
3. TCU.
4. Florida State

ive read this "unload on bama vs Fsu" about 100 times. Do you REALLY think you are the only one thinking this? I doubt Vegas is going to set a line to entice bama action...

The Noles struggle every week just to get a win......TCU wins convincingly week in and week out.....Plus they beat like 5 ranked teams.

TCU is solid.....They play defense unlike these other teams.

Bama giving up what 40 to Auburn.....Oregon will probably beat Arizona....But the score will be 50-47...LOL.....Oregon is another shitty defensive team.

TCU Best team in the country on both sides of the ball in my opinion.

No, what is gonna happen is Baylor beats the Cats, the Noles lose to Tech, and Wisky beats Bucky.....TCU and Da Bears make it in.

Does the Baylor QB last the game? Surprised he will be playing this weekend. A very good chance that KSU could win this after one or two QB sacks.

Ugh, I really wish people would stop making the argument TCU deserves to be ahead of Baylor because TCU beat Minnesota in their OOC schedule. Both TCU and Baylor played the exact conf schedule and Baylor beat TCU, end of story if Baylor beats KSU. Minnesota has no football tradition and has not won a B10 title since 1967. It is not like TCU scheduled Ohio State or Michigan State, a perennial bowl team and conference contender for the past decade. TCU got lucky and Minny beat all the bad teams on their schedule this year. Only 2 of their 8 wins came against teams with a winning record and none of their wins are against currently ranked teams. So if Baylor beat Illinois, a power 5 school going to a bowl game, at home instead of Buffalo that would make everyone feel better?

Also, if the committee is talking about head to head, why is UGA ranked higher than Missouri if TCU is ahead of Baylor? Missouri has the better record and won their division. Yes, UGA throttled Missouri but after that has won 6 SEC games in a row and has not lost since that game at the beginning of October. UGA just lost to GT and was handled by a bad Florida team just in the past month. I don't see how they can make the head to head argument with Baylor/TCU but use it when ranking UGA/Missouri.

Yes, on paper with Gurely UGA would be favored but the playoffs should not be about the four best teams on paper/Vegas line. The playoff should be based on what the four best teams did on the field.

Except that Solid TCU Defense gave up 782 yards, yes, that is not a typo, 782 yards to Baylor. TCU also gave up 400+ yards and 30 points to Kansas, Kansas' second highest scoring total for the year, right behind the 34 Kansas scored vs. power SE Missouri State.
