Targeting penalties

As a coach, how in the hell are you supposed to teach your kids how to tackle? There is no way in hell that is targeting on Gerry from Nebraska. It is getting beyond ridiculous.

the live call was close mainly b/c it sounded so loud...but the review was OBVIOUS that it wasnt targeting. not sure what they refs were doing there.
sadly the NCAA will do nothing about the refs making the wrong call....

Terrible call....a shame they didn't get it right on the replay....feel bad for the kid that was a great tackle

As I understand it, the receiver, by turning, is no longer a defenseless player. The review should have at least half corrected the bad call. Gerry got thrown out in the last game as well, but that one was deserved. Tough month for him and a big loss. He's not great in coverage, but he's still one of the better players on that secondary.

Don't have a problem with the official on the field, cause he only gets 1 quick look live and it's boom, boom. His position may not have been the best viewing angle.
But the replay official gets to look at it from several camera angles, and he totally blew it. One of the, if not the worst replay review call...definitely NOT Targeting!
