Targeting alone should keep us from playing these games.....

NO way this AF safety/leader (against a passing team) should have been ejected from a bowl game for that hit. Changes the entire game. If you ever wanted to help another team win.... well, that was it

Should be investigated... No way that was a target hit and the fact it went to the booth and they STILL said it was is bullshit too.

Officials in any athletic event should never really be noticed. Just like another part of the playing surface. However, we all know that officials love to stand out.

Sometimes..... Reviews only give officials more opportunity to be noticed. To seem important.

All these new rules were put in place to help the refs mold the game into the way they need it to go.

The slightest hit towards the helmet, & they will not only flag the team, but have the power to eject a player from the game. How f**ked up has our beloved sport of football turned out?

Sure we want to help the players from injury......

Might as well go into the NHL & start ejecting players for hitting each other the wrong way.

I'm wondering how this sport will be viewed 20 years from now.......flag football anyone?

Besides the asshole that called it on the field, you also have blame to the ones in the review booth

That's my biggest issue...the booth even said it which I was shocked because I thought it would be overturned

This was as bad or worse of a call than the one against Nebraska. if they are worried about helmets hitting helmets inadvertently like this, then they ought to just make them play without helmets. The targeting foul was supposed to eliminate the blatant "launches" leading with the helmet or the closeline forearms or elbows to the head. Now they are calling it anytime someone gets in a good lick. Horsesh*t!

Commentators toss refs salad......have you ever heard a commentator say on theair a ref should be investigated? You will never hear it because just like cops with other cops, they have their backs 100%

In the NFL commentators are worse......like Collinsworthless always kissing the refs ass........same with a few others.

Only commentator that has some balls is All Michaels for throwing gambling innuendos on the air......
