I had GB. The better team won and deserved to win, which was TB.
We can talk about the late flag, the non-call Hold on the INT before the half, Wirfs holding on the PI call. Those are excuses. This also happened........
- GB couldn't get off the field on 3rd down in the 1H, extending drives that TB converted into TDS
- GB 1st and goal at the 6, not one running play. Three INCL passes settle for a FG
- Last play of the half. Awful defensive play call by Pettine. Protect the sidelines and play zone. You allowed your DB, who played it like crap, to get beat deep from 39 yards with 2 seconds left in the half
- First drive to open the 2H you fumble giving TB another TD
- Brady threw 3 picks including one picked as they were going in.
- GB again 1st and goal without ONE run, 3 straight passes. They then decide to kick a FG instead of going for a TD/2pt for the tie with 2:10 left.
You kicked a FG...........so that IF you score again you don 't have to worry about going for 2???? You need a TD. Incomplete pass on 4th??? You still need a TD and they are backed up. Kick a FG???? You STILL NEED A TD!!!!
Yes, the officials kept flags in their pockets all game long.....and maybe they could have let the last one go. I wouldn't be surprised if the ref that threw the flag, several seconds after the play was over and a good 25 yards away from the action, was told to throw that flag. Who knows.
End of the day, GB didn't deserve that game. I'll take my loss and move on. Congrats to TB and whoever bet on them.
