I read this in a book, but I have never done it since it requires a TON of patience which i do not have...

Here's the sure way to win at roulette:

A. Look at the board of numbers that have come up recently.
B. Find the number which has appeared the most times.
C. Play that number EVERY TIME until it hits again.

The book says that machines are NOT perfect, and that they might be slightly weighted towards certain numbers...Therefore, when you see a number that has appeared a couple of times, just play it over and over until it hits again. If it hits 1 out of 35 times, you're a winner!!!

Ever consider the fact these Roulette Wheels are tested every single day by the casinos to make sure they function properly.

I'll go farther than that. I betchya they have some sophisticated computer program that records every number hit and looks for statistical deviations.

Unless you know for sure that a wheel has a malfunction, this kind of strategy will put you in the poorhouse.

There's no way you can win over time with Roulette. The odds are just too much skewed towards the House. But a good bet for a one shot all-or-nothing jackpot is to pick a number in the middle row.

Let's say red 32. You make a bet in every possible way on red 32 coming up. That means you bet on red, you bet on even, you bet on the 19-36, you bet on 25-36, you bet on the middle row, and then all the places on the board that intersect 32.

If 32 comes up, you just hit the jackpot.

If it's a high number, a number in the middle row, a red number and/or even number, you still did okay.

That's what I would do. That's the ONLY thing I would do with Roulette, and I'd only try it once because the bet would be super expensive.

I ABSOLUTELY believe this lowers the house advangtage, you are correct. However, it is so very slight that you still cannot show a positive return longterm.

There is no doubt biases at one point or another existed in roulette, no clue whether modern technology has corrected that flaw.

BW buried the old Gold Nuggest in AC about 25 years ago, and Wynn was so upset that he claimed to send the wheel to NASA to prove it was fairly balanced, but we know BW isn't betting without an edge.

More recently, Count Zero tested whether wheels were biased for an article and concluded they are. But that the casinoe counter measures are impossible to detect by the player.

An interesting site newtonroulette.com
