Good news for Americans. Obama and Obamacare win again. This time, a crushing 6-3 vote upholding some of the key components of Obamacare. Dave, Russ, and Joe are back on life support. Nice to see the Supreme Court not buy in to this crazy anti-humanity rhetoric provided by the Republicans. Just remember, in 10-15 years Republicans will be claiming Obamacare was their idea.

------------------------------------------------------

Obamacare has survived -- again.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court saved the controversial health care law that will define President Barack Obama's administration for generations to come.
The ruling holds that the Affordable Care Act authorized federal tax credits for eligible Americans living not only in states with their own exchanges but also in the 34 states with federal marketplaces. It staved off a major political showdown and a mad scramble in states that would have needed to act to prevent millions from losing health care coverage.
"Five years ago, after nearly a century of talk, decades of trying, a year of bipartisan debate, we finally declared that in America, health care is not a privilege for a few but a right for all," Obamasaid from the White House. "The Affordable Care Act is here to stay"
In a moment of high drama, Chief Justice John Roberts sent a bolt of tension through the Court when he soberly announced that he would issue the majority opinion in the case. About two-thirds of the way through his reading, it became clear that he again would be responsible for rescuing Obamacare.
"Congress passed the Affordable Care Act to improve health insurance markets, not to destroy them," Roberts wrote in the majority opinion. "If at all possible, we must interpret the Act in a way that is consistent with the former, and avoids the latter."

READ: John Roberts' big moment: Will he anger conservatives again?
He was joined by Justice Anthony Kennedy -- who is often the Court's swing vote -- and the four liberal justices. Justice Antonin Scalia wrote the dissent, joined by Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.
When he finished, Roberts announced that Scalia would read a dissent.
"Indeed," the veteran justice replied, sparking laughter in the Court and offering a preview of the stinging repudiation of the majority opinion he was about to unfurl.

Hahaha, pretty much America would be a great place if they asked Russ, Joe, Dave, JDouche, and Valley Girl Snoop what they think we should do... and do the exact opposite.

Remember all their threads about how Obamacare was never going to hold up and it would be a failure. They are literally wrong about almost every topic they talk about. It's crazy.

By the way, I'm on indefinite post review, so my responses will be random. Apparently there are rules in the poly forum that apply to some and not others.

A year from now the sacrificial lamb-uh, Republican candidate for POTUS, excuse me-will still be hammering away on this(as did BONE-er in his comments today to explain away yet another Repub ass kicking). It's survived over 50 attempts to kill it in Congress, 2 challenges in the SCOTUS, and, oh, yes, a presidential election. You motherfuckers LOST, get over it and move on.

It would be so hilarious to go back and read all the Obamacare posts here couple years ago. Remember all the grandmas dying, impeachment talk, obamacare website talk, etc, etc. All which have failed miserably just like all their Benghazi, IRS, Solyndra, Fast & Furious, etc, etc, nonsense. It's amazing how people can be so wrong for so long yet continue to believe they are "connecting the dots".

Hahahaha, poor Russ. I kind of like him, but only because there is so much competition for psycho conservatives here, he seems more innocent and dedicated to his tin foil agenda.

But I guess Valley Girl Snoop is busy again now that I'm back, lol. I was expecting some rage posting like the day I left. Like totally!

In a dissent he summarized from the bench, Justice Antonin Scalia said, “We should start calling this law SCOTUScare.” Using the acronym for the Supreme Court, Scalia said his colleagues have twice stepped in to save the law from what Scalia considered worthy challenges.

“The Court holds that when the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act says ‘Exchange established by the State’ it means ‘Exchange established by the State or the Federal Government.’ That is of course quite absurd, and the Court’s 21 pages of explanation make it no less so,” Scalia wrote.

Scalia added, “Words no longer have meaning if an Exchange that is not established by a State is ‘established by the State.’ It is hard to come up with a clearer way to limit tax credits to state Exchanges than to use the words ‘established by the State.’ And it is hard to come up with a reason to include the words ‘by the State’ other than the purpose of limiting credits to state Exchanges.”

Words no longer have meaning. That pretty much sums it up.

Ahhh, so a Supreme Court judge wants to base his decision on a technicality. Seems like a reasonable guy. No wonder the right wing loons love Scalia so much.

Redistribution of wealth. Healthcare law re-written three times by the judicial branch of the government, legislating from the bench. Constitution trounced yet again for political reasons. Scalia had it right, it should be called SCOTUScare.

Obama and the Supreme court are TREASONOUS TRAITORS TO ALL UNITED STATES CITIZENS. NOTHING BUT CRIMINALS

R.I.P. The Constitution of the United States. Born in September, 1787, it led a robust life, until, sometime in the 1990's it became infected with Progressivism. It had been on life support since about 2008. Today, the Supreme Court pulled the plug.
It was pronounced dead this morning at 0715 Pacific time, 25 June,2015
The Constitution was 228 years old.

A sad day for Americans

Yea, those treasonous monsters!!!! How dare they care about peoples health instead of technicalities in word choices.

"Many patient advocates cheered the decision. “It means that millions of people with serious health conditions such as cancer will continue to have access to essential treatment and care, and millions of others at risk for disease will be able to afford preventive screenings and tests that could save their lives,” said Chris Hansen, president of the American Cancer Society’s advocacy arm, in a statement."

Roberts is obviously a activist judge.

The Supreme Court chief justice has twice preserved the landmark legislation of Barack Obama. On both occasions, Roberts has had to employ judicial gymnastics to rationalize his decision.

In the King v. Burwell decision, Roberts chose to ignore the letter of the law — no matter how specious or unintentional the letter may have been — and instead, he decided to act like a God.

He's such an embarrassment to this country. How he became a judge is beyond me. Act like a fucking grown up and respect your position. Conservatives have no shame. They are pretty much children.

Fucking scum is back already? There goes the neighborhood

He knows as much about obamacare as he does about the economy, and he knows even less about humanity

The only thing he's good at is idiocy, and he has a masters in ass hole

heh....I have read variations of the above Obituary at least a half dozen times every year since I was in college following a long list of decisions handed down by the SCOTUS

Yet somehow, our Republic continues to thrive and to do so in peaceful fashion without armed insurrections and military coups
