Has anyone seen the system play that Steele has used for along time?
Lots of variables, as I recall many give pts. to teams previously in SB,
which probably would favor Pitt. this yr. Was good for many yrs., think
it has been like 50-50 last 4, could be wrong on that though...GL

From another forum.....the point totals for this system this year are:

63 for Pitt
14.5 for Azona

Recordwise it was 32-3-2......of late it is around 33-8-2...(don't know about this last set of numbers because this year's SB is #43 and 33-8-2 adds up to 43????)

Of the 17 categories used in this system, Pittsburgh received points for the top five categories, Arizona received points for only five categories of the 17.

As I said, from another site, can't verify the numbers myself but they seem to be about basically correct.

I'd like to get a hold of Hank Stram's system. His overall record was remarkable. Someone must have it somewhere. I'll ask in another thread. I believe that his system picked the Patriots as ouright winners against the Rams when they were 13 point dogs.

i think i havephils system somewhere.
i used to subscribe to his newsletter.
it was long and tedious and the info was hard to find.
it wasnt worth figuring out because the results were
posted at the rx service forum.
it was wrong the last few years.

He revises the system when it loses, so it is backfitted. It had a good record for awhile then started to tank with a negative record over a five year period [2-3 or 1-4] even with the backfitting. It is actually Stram's old system [modified]

I'd like to get a hold of Hank Stram's system.

hard to believe nobody has been able to crack it all these years, think he had said it was based on a stat the nfl had quit making available at some point; was hoping his system didn't go to the grave with him.

Phil Steele says the updated SB system is 22-0 when points are over 48 points. this year pick is Pittsburgh @49 points.

I purchased the result.
