I wrote last night about the dynamic changing for the Suns 2nd half total. It used to be mostly over but has now changed to mostly under by going under 5 out of the last 8 (could have been last 6 out of 8 with last night's total).

The teams tonight are playing up-tempo as is to be expected. Both teams were shooting well in the 1st quarter. As good as these teams were shooting they only put up 98 points in the 1st half. What makes the linesmakers think they can score 11 more points in the 2nd half??? What would cause these teams to do differently to score more? They are already in an quick game and I think it will slow down some as it has in recent games.

dangerous play, they scored 98 points with only 2 free throws, odds are they will score the same amount 2nd half but with alot more free throws... hard to see a game where only one team only goes to the line once..GL anyway but I'd say the over is the better bet

Good input kb. I can see the teams shooting more free throws in the 2nd but any reason they might shoot enough to put this total over?

nash loves to run the ball, and Washington scores in the upper tier of points per game, I can see them both running and gunning and scoring the 98 they scored 1st half + the 12 points in free throws they would need to get this game to 110 in the 2h... I dont know as much about htem as you do though, just adding my input and saying why the line could be 110 for such a relatively low scoring first half...

I can see your points. Thanks for the input. That gives me another factor to think about when looking at 2nd-half totals.

I figure that the Suns will continue to run but the opposing teams have been slowing things down in the 2nd half as of late and Washington is a little more deliberate now bringing it up the court. That is a large part of my under pick.

Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. This total went under by 1 point when Washington misses 2 baskets in garbage time. Phoenix takes the ball out with less than 24 seconds left and runs out the clock. I thought one of the Suns were going to take a shot like that lady did in the WNBA game I lost by 1 point when she took a shot as the clock ran down.

Maybe I should count last night's win and tonight's win as 1 win instead of two. Nah.
