Ravens DE Chris Canty, who has missed the last four games, didn't participate Friday after being limited the previous day. FS Kendrick Lewis was sidelined all week.
The Lions were awarded DT Khyri Thornton off waivers from New England. Thornton was a third round pick of Green Bay last year but was waived by the Packers in final cuts. Thornton has yet to play in an NFL game. Detroit waived DT Ish Kitchen earlier in the day.

Saints CBs Keenan Lewis (hip/stomach) and Damian Swann (head) have both been ruled out for Sunday's game at Indianapolis. A bad week to be spread thin at cornerback against the Colts' deep and dynamic receiving corps. ... Backup OT Andrus Peat was also ruled out for Saints. But everyone else is probable or better, including OT Terron Armstead and WR Marques Colston.
Jaguars safety Johnathan Cyprien was fined $8,681 by the NFL for his hit on Houston quarterback Brian Hoyer last Sunday. Cyprien was penalized for unnecessary roughness for the hit, which happened at the end of a scramble play.
The Patriots have ruled out OT Marcus Cannon (toe), DE Jabaal Sheard (ankle) and DE Rufus Johnson (illness), which was expected after all three did not practice this week. Eight players are listed as questionable, including LB Dont'a Hightower (ribs), special teams captain Matthew Slater (knee), RB Dion Lewis (abdomen) and guard Shaq Mason (knee).
The Lions rule TE Brandon Pettigrew OUT for Sunday against Minnesota along with LB DeAndre Levy. CB Josh Wilson is questionable. All other players, including Haloti Ngata and Eric Ebron, are probable.
Safety Eric Weddle (groin) did not practice all week and has been ruled out by Chargers. LB Manti Te'o (ankle) also did not practice all week and is doubtful.
TE Antonio Gates, WR Keenan Allen, WR Stevie Johnson, T Chris Hairston, T King Dunlap, RB Melvin Gordon and C Chris Watt all listed as questionable for Chargers. Of those seven, Gates is likely a true game-time decision.
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is listed as questionable, or by the NFL's definition 50-50, on the official injury report to play for Chiefs on Sunday against the Steelers.
Saints DC Rob Ryan raved on and on about Colts coach Chuck Pagano, who worked with him for two years in Oakland: “He’s like the best person in the world. Everybody knows he’s one of the top five coaches in the league. He’s fantastic. He deserves that job that he got, and he’s been tremendous at it. And I’m so proud of his success.” … Ryan said Pagano has overcome so many health issues (leukemia, a heart issue, even buzzing in his ears). “He’s been through so much stuff, and when you meet him you would never think there’s anything that upsets him. He’s awesome.”
[/h]The Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) is listed as questionable and coach Tom Coughlin expects him to play in Sunday's NFC East showdown, while the Cowboys' Dez Bryant (foot) is doubtful, making him a long shot.
Dez Bryant is officially doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants even though he did not practice on Friday. The Cowboys left for New Jersey Friday and will visit Ground Zero tonight. The Cowboys are scheduled to have a walkthrough on Saturday at a school near their team hotel.
Rams haven't played at home since the pyrotechnic incident against Pittsburgh when the field briefly caught on fire. Rams coach Jeff Fisher again joked that he might have his team run out of the other tunnel this week. Either way, probably best for the pyro crew to be on its game on Sunday.
Texans guard Brandon Brooks (toe), outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (ankle) and S Quintin Demps are listed as questionable against the Dolphins. Brooks has a good shot of playing, and returned to practice on Friday. Clowney has practiced two days in a row. CB Kareem Jackson (ankle), LB Benardrick McKinney (concussion) and WR Cecil Shorts (hamstring) have been declared out.
Rams got some good news on the injury front Friday as WR Tavon Austin (hamstring) and DE Robert Quinn (knee) returned to work. Both listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. The Rams need Quinn anyway but with Chris Long ruled out because of a knee injury Quinn's presence is even more important.
