Sunday Nite Bases - Yankees/Red Sox again?

Growing up I will admit that I was often mesmerized by whenever these two teams got together, but over the past few years the Sox/Yanks are a complete bore to watch. It is almost a given that the game will drag on for over 4 hours - and given their position in the standings - who wants to watch this snooze fest? These days the Sox have a much better rivalry with the Rays than they do with NY. Time for the national networks to wake up and not automatically put these two teams on whenever they match up.

I agree these games are painful to watch. 4 hour baseball games are brutal

Just awful.. Tonight's game might hit 5 hours.. They've broadcast these games to death, and people just don't care anymore, nevermind the length of game. Brutal.

NFL preseason will demolish this in ratings.

Agreed, not like it used to be.

The rivalry is all but dead....heck, their even making direct trades with each other.


If the old man was alive they probably would have a rivalry still.

I agree 100%. I love Sunday Night Baseball, but I didn't even watch 1 second of this game. Every time I see the baseball schedule on Friday and see these 2 teams are playing, I think to myself, shit, Sunday Night Baseball is ruined. Especially if you're in EST there's no sense in even getting remotely interested in this game.

I just checked the score and although it might be a good game (7-7) it's in the 5th inning and the game is already 2 1/2 long. WTF??! What the actual fuck?!
