There are very few outcomes in sports that surprise me, but if Norman can fade the "heat" today, I will be totally SURPRISED!

i think harrington is the only guy still playing wilson staff's

those clubs were popular in the 80's and were difficult to hit. sweet spot the size of your pinky nail .

i have an old set of nicklaus muirfield irons that are equally hard to hit.

i kinda remember that name...

amazing how easy they have made the game compared to what we had to use back in the 70's and 80's

my first decent set of irons were the ram tour grind . around 1979

i could never get those persimmon big head drivers off the ground. hit a 3 wood about 250 and just got used to hitting 5 irons into par 4's .

a 7000 yard golf course back in the day was a big park...

Number One, I play a very demanding golf course at a liitle over 7,000 yds( Tourny tees are 7,480) and at 56+ years old I am almost scratch. In college, I would have had trouble breaking 80. Have you played any of the 2008 wedges? The Ping Tour-Ws are the best I've ever played.

Norman needs something to calm him down or he's going to find himself a few back in a few holes

i'm 45 and have been playing some of the best golf i've played in years . i wish i could spare more time for practicing and playing right now.

i lost my mind for 10 minutes yesterday and made a quad on a par 4 . shot 4 over for the round. tee ball in the water , 4th shot in the water.

i still use cleveland classic irons that were given to me by the rep back in 1991 . i have a taylor driver that i hit about 80 % of the fairways with.

just bought a taylor 19 degree and a callaway 4 wood that i love. took the 3 iron out of my bag . that 19 degree 7 wood is like swinging a piece of heaven . silly how easy it is to hit . first new clubs i have bought in 15 years .

I have been in this situation(Greg Norman-last group) many times, and while never anything close to this magnitude, once the bleeding starts it is hard to stop. Helpless feeling.

Number One, I always thought Faldo WON the 1996 Masters(67 in windy conditions) and Norman didn't lose it.

totally agree .. all the talk is always about how norman blew it. granted 78 didnt help matters , but faldo played one of the 10 greatest final rounds in the history of golf to win it . maybe top 5 .

hell , maybe the best ever
