the 85 bears lost a game. Did that make them any less dominant? I can't wait to see the posts claiming k-state "EXPOSED" oklahoma. I suppose the dolphins in 85 "EXPOSED" the bears too.

It worked out great for the Big 12. They got 2 teams in the BcS instead of just one as it would've been if Oklahoma won???

Hmmmm....

Makes you wonder doesn't it?

Kman,

Loose the conspiracy theory, Texas was in if Oklahoma won the game. The Big 12 was getting two teams in either way.

Comparing the Pro game to the College game is rediculous. Whole different animal. LSU has a D that's BETTER than KSU, no doubt. KSU, I think, has a better O. Who has OU beat? Texas? What else is new. Beat Bama by 7, WOW now that's impressive. TTech, OSU (Nebraska beat OSU) Missouri? Face it, the Big XII is not that strong this year. LSU will win this game straight up at home.

Want to win some $ take KSU. They will destroy an overrated Ohio ST. And no I'm not a mildcat fan, I'm a Husker fan...

You like LSU because you say oklahoma has a weak sched. Yet you pick Kstate who has the same, if not weaker sched, to beat an osu team that played an always tough big ten sched (including Washington, wisky, iowa, mich st, purdue, nc st, bowling green and michigan. How many bowl teams does a team have to play to get any kind of respect?). If you think the big 12 is a joke, be consistent.

max1234 - Texas would've gotten in because LSU won the SEC but what if Georgia wins the SEC championship game? You would've had, USC, Florida St, Miami, Ohio St, Michigan, Oklahoma, LSU, and Georgia.

I, in no way think Oklahoma threw the game it's just an interesting point to bring up. With these school and conference big wigs caring about nothing but money it makes you wonder.

I think even if LSU would have lost to LSU, the big12 still would have had two teams.

If you are in the top 6 in the BCS you get an automatic bid unless your conference already has two teams (why Texas is out)

Would have been, Oklhaoma (if they beat KSU), Miami, Florida State, USC, Michigan, Georgia (all conference champs) two at large would have been Texas (because they probably would have stayed in the top 6) and between LSU and Ohio State

Good point Prime, but comparing bowl teams played these days is a joke. Who doesn't go to a bowl? Even though OSU beat all but 2 you mentioned, and not exactly by domination, is why. Ohio St beat Penn St by 1, Bowling Green by 7, San Diego St by 3. Sorry but I'm not impressed with Ohio St or the Big X. KSU had a let down after a loss then came back on fire. They dominated lower class teams before that, OSU struggled with every team they faced. Also, KSU will have 80% of the fan base here in Tempe. KSU will win this game.

Early thoughts are that LSU has a big homefield advantage in this game and since they have not won a national title since 1958, the crowd will be quite rowdy. After seeing what Kstate defense did to OU , I;m positive so can LSU. I like LSU +7 but as we get closer to game things can change.

I'll stick by my prediction after watching LSU manhandle Arkansas. They are the best team in the nation at this time. They'll beat Oklahoma. LSU 24 Oklahomo 20

LSU qb is trash, LSU was exposed by Florida, 10 teams better than LSU. LSU has zero quality wins. Georgia qb doesnt belong in d1 football.

Rail my man, I agree with Pete, that you are solid in bases and hoops, but I do not understand your venomous bias here, you should watch more SEC ball than you obviously do, LSU took the day off versus UF, and were actually only down 12-7 in the early 4th qtr, despite getting no push up front that day, David Greene though over-rated due to last fall's dominant UGA squad is still solid, and was running for his life all fall due to UGA's weak OL, yet they were and are still clearly a top 7 national team.

You should note that Okla only played two teams of LSU's nature physically in the trenches this fall in an over-rated B-12, and struggled versus both(Alabama and KSU), and that Mauck though possessing an average arm, has great speed and decent decision making..thus is usually asked to not win the game but rather just do not lose it for the Tigers.

LSU outright 30 - 23...34 - 17 if they bring their A-game!

Horse,

I watch plenty of SEC football this yr, , Jones at Ark is a good runner, Lorenzen is a playmaker, Leak is ok but overrated, Manning grossly overrated, Clausen is a Pac 10 reject, Mauck is pathetic as is Green, Auburn qb is a joke, Bama not good either. LSU has a couple good players on D, an overhyped coach, a weak qb. Im not real fond of White of Oklahoma, but I dont think LSU will score more than once in this game. Oklahoma and LSU may not in the top 5. College football you play 12 games, you can live a lie and get away with it without being expsoed. Oklahoma almost got away with it. USC was the best team in the country last year, they are this year and will 3 peat next year as they have 21 starters returning, counting punter and kicker.

Damn, now that's interesting math. From 0 to threepeat in one year.

Railbird-
Don't know what SEC games you're watching this year?

you make it sound like football is a one man game. some of your points about some of the sec qb's (clausen, not manning) are valid but you're talking garbage about nick saban. the stupidity of that comment.
the tigers play a breed of D not seen in the college game (ask david greene). this team is mature, talented (top 3 recruiting classes last three yrs) and not intimidated by anyone. playing in the dome, the tigers get that crystal ball.
