I am curious about a game between Clippers and Kings that took place on 01/18/2003 in LA. I was not interested at that time in NBA and stumbled on this game just today while working on my data. I suspect that this game has been discussed in the past.

The Clippers' record then was 14-24 while the Kings were 29-10. There are two things that make that game stand out. First is the line, it was Clippers -6.5 with no injured stars. Second is free throws disparity. The Clippers had 46 FTAs while the Kings had 7. The result was 112-107 Clippers. Do you know anything about this game that does not get posted in the recap?

clippers didnt cover the line so any attempt at cheating went awry

There had to be some extraordinary circumstance ....either that or it's an error....have you double checked the line? (which looks backwards to me)

Also it might be possible to check old threads right here in the NBA forum if you can find the time period.

You have the line backwards. I have final line as SAC -7.0, -107 each way from Canbet. LAC won 112-107.

Thank you all. Yes, I have the line backwards, that is how I have gotten it from Covers. So, due to FTAs disparity, I suppose, we still can call it a strange game but, likely, nothing more.

Speaking about validity of data sources. If I look at Covers, TheRX and Donbest and see three different lines for a given game that took place in the past, what do I make out of it? What if I am mostly interested in consensus line? What line archives you consider to be good?
