S&P futures were up 2.70 to 1,195.60 while Nasdaq futures climbed 5 to 1,514 and Dow futures lifted 18 to 10,691.
"The big question will be whether this is just a bounce following yesterday's broad-based decline or whether yesterday was really just a one day affair," said Michael Sheldon, chief market strategist at Spencer Clark LLC.
