Not loving all the racist stuff many are spewing but in my opinion Stephen Jackson was the biggest tool in that fight last night. Jawing, pulling his jersey out, acting like a tough guy. What an ahole. Bad scene.

Can't really fault Ron Artest this time , he just snapped after he realized that even if he tried doing the right thing by just laying on that table wasn't good enough for fans, etc. Now Stephen Jackson is another story. I wish a capable fan would of got hold of him to give him a wake up call.Heck, if anyone is to blame for starting this whole mess it would have to be Ben Wallace for overreacting on that foul..........

C'mon Hacheman....lying on the scorers table was an attempt to anger Ben Walace even more. If Artest was truly attempting to stay out of things he should have stood on the sideline like a civilized human being until order was restored. To defend Artest on the grounds that he was trying to lay low (pun intended) demonstrates an extremely naive view of human behavior.

I disagree Simpleton........Yes Artest has had major problems in the past, but here lately he's really been pushed by fans and the media. First of all, if the guy wants to quit basketball and pursue music, then good for him. I still want to know what in the world people see wrong with that. The guy desperately pleaded in an interview asking why it was such a big deal, and tried in vain to explain rationally that he just loved music more than basketball. If you wanted to change jobs, what would you think if everyone criticized you and said you needed to stick only with what your current job is?! Now all of this............the guy has caught hell lately. You say he was trying to anger Wallace even more so. I don't think that was that case. I believe he was trying to prove to everyone that he could be disciplined by staying out of the confrontation, and then what happens, he gets belted by a bottle in the face. He then snaps when realizing no matter what he does it isn't good enough for fans or the media. We have all probably been on the edge at one point or another in our life, and some can control it, and some can't. Anyhow, this is, of course, just a friendly disagreement.......:toast:

No World, different guy........This guy stood face to face with Artest on the court and was ready..........Although, he wasn't ready for the right bomb Artest threw at him......LOL....But, he took it and was still ready, until others came into the picture and he slipped down.

watch it again hache.

it was the same guy. he was standing toe to toe with artest. then he slipped after throwing a punch. it was then that o'neil came from 10 feet away and landed the biggest punch of the night and dropped the guy.

that one had to hurt.

I was thinking that World, but I pretty sure thats another "even chubbier" guy with a Piston jersey on. I know what your talking about, but the guy Oneal connected with was a pretty fat guy, the other was just kinda chunky/stout wasnt he? You're probably right though, I'll check it out again.........

I think jermaine gets the worst of it out of anyone as far as fines and suspensions. when that kid got up he was just standing there and there wasnt a player within 10 feet of him. artest had backed up and was ready to cool off. jermaine just bum rushed the kid for no reason other than he was fighting for artest.

o'neal gets no less than 20 games and 200,000 fine. he will more than likely face assualt charges from the detroit police.

that kid could have ended up like Rudy T, becuase tomjonavich was punched in a similar style. and Rudy T. nearly lost his life.

the punch o'neal threw was very simliar in style to the one kermit washington had thrown. a running drop punch to the face.

so think about this guys. the 2 christmas games.

miami and lakers - kobe and shaq hate each other. dirty gossip, adultry and bribing adults is the theme.

detroit at indy - rivalry with historic all out brawl with fans and players and punches to the face as the staple

I honestly hope and pray christmas spirit is enough for all these clowns to get along and enjoy the day. and that goes for the announcers, I really hope they dont instigate with stupid comments as tons of children will be at home watching.

If I was a parent, I might not even let my kid watch these two games.

further more ,the leauge office and the scheduler is a complete jerk off. they know indy/detroit is a heated rivalry and they know kobe and shaq hate each other.

scheduling these games on xmas day just disgusts me and makes me sick to think about it.

Stephen Jackson should be thrown out for the rest of the year. Artest should be tossed for half a year. O'Neil 20 games minimum. Ben Wallace 5 games.

Artest is a total ass. Agree with Simpleton. Why is he laying on the scorers table. If he thought the heckling was bad before, he hasn't seen anything yet.

And I'm TOTALLY sick of the Stephen A. Jackson's of the world only blaming the fans. Granted, they were way out of control and several should be prosecuted, but my boy Stephen Jackson was acting like a complete imbecile BEFORE Artest got hit with the brewski.
